I commend the individuals that overcome their adversities and succeed in spite of them. That shows me they will not let what they’ve been through keep them down but they will work at something till they succeed at whatever and what they’ve been through has taught them lessons of surmountable obstacles cannot stand in their way but they were still able to come out on top! I came up during the days when if you told your parents that a playmate had "hurt my feelings," the typical response was, "You're lucky that's all that got hurt. Go play!"
