@@moroseloki1912 I do! I do believe, PaRappa! lol I can perform the moves, I get the basic mechanics, and I am at least *capable* of performing some combos. Soon as the round starts though I fall apart. Can't read the enemy fast enough, my specials don't come out consistently, and I can't even get my combos started muchless carry out a full one. I just don't excel at fighting games and I'm cool with that. Cause I'm pretty dang good at just about every other genre of game.

I mean he does a podcast with 2 actual semi-pro players and makes entire series about testing out dogshit fighting games, so I imagine he's a bit above just a casual fan of the genre. Hell, imo if you're a fan of KoF & Fatal Fury and aren't from Latin America or East Asia, you're already part of the niche fighting game weirdo club. And I say that as a complement.

Yea it was, they were testing the water for switch owner's during 2 months after switch launched and capcom was happy with those early sales. After that the resident evil revelations 1 & 2 came out in Nov that year.

I mean, I feel like SF5 or 6 on the switch is borderline impossible, so this feels like their attempt to meet SF Fan demands on such a low-power system. Sort of like how we couldn't get DMC5 so instead they gave us HD DMC3 with DMC5 mechanics.

@@xxigeorge It already has m8. Uncle Derek did a whole vid on it. People joke about the amount of Skyrim rereleases, RE4 is on literally EVERY console and platform from the 6th gen onwards... Sometimes with multiple versions.

@AT Productions I mean... I can't really agree there since RE4R seems to have a ton of effort and passion in it + looks pretty solid. I'm one of the people who was in that camp until the showcase and now I'm actually excited for it. Still wish we got a CV remake before it, but it honestly looks better to me than RE8.

Can I just say I hate that in the digital age we get rereleases of old AF unbalanced fighting games that STILL aren't updated? It's the reason I can never play KoF98/2002 or GGXXAC+R even with the new rollback they added... because Rollback doesn't fix characters still being busted AF. I get that because it's old they just expect people to be used to the broken crap, but that doesn't stop me from wishing they would properly patch the crap out now that they very easily can. That's kind of the only thing that keeps me interested in this version of SF2.

@@bobbynick5358 I know it was released way after this, but just in case you're unaware the Capcom Fighting Collection that came out like last year or earlier this year has all of the Darkstalkers games + Red Earth, HSF2, SPF2T, Pocket Fighter, and Cyberbots w/ Rollback on Switch, PS5, XBSX, and PC... so it happened eventually, just not on the switch's launch.

I for one wish Capcom would ever rerelease their 3D fighting games. Spawn and HeavyMetal I get because licensing, but there's no reason Rival Schools, Star Gladiator, Powerstone, and Techromancer can't be on modern systems. The most we've got are PSOne classics, the Dreamcast, and that weird Powerstone comp. for the PSP. Not to mention the only time we've ever seen them acknowledged since the dreamcast era was Batsu in TvC and Akira in SFV. Though I guess it's all in line with them pretending like the never made any fighting games other than SF and MvC nowadays. As a Zoomer, I genuinely didn't even know capcom made any 3D fighting games other than Powerstone until I got into compiling and playing old PSX and Dreamcast roms. And also Matt's vids on Rival Schools/Project Justice ironically enough.

I love SF4, I just wish capcom ever bothered to balance it past USF4. Basically killed any potential of it gathering a following a la SF2, 3, and Alpha 3 after SF5 launched.

@@warbossgegguz679 SF IV had six years of support from Capcom (seven if you include the PS4 port of Ultra). To imply it doesn’t have a following is laughable considering it single handedly revived the FGC. It had a good run and good support, it was just time to move on to SF V at that point

Your logic would make sense if just moving on to the newest entry were consistent in the fighting game genre, but it isn't. The followings of SF2, 3, Alpha 3, and other old Fighting games like MvC2 or KOF2002UM are still massive despite being 20-30 year old games. SF4 could have a proper global competitive scene, but it's too unbalanced. Also, SF5 was garbage on launch and for it's first few years on the market. Hell, I credit that with why games like Guilty Gear and Melty Blood decieded to (unfortunately) target a less hardcore market in their most recent entries, because SFV stumbled out of the gate enough that more obscure/niche games rose to prominence ... though it's a bit ironic given MKX/11 and KoF15 are way deeper than their predecessors while GGS is more like SF than GG and MBTL is "Autocombos: the game" and I'm still disappointed in it. At least some good Neco Arc memes came out of it I guess.

Not gonna make friends here but I didn't like most of HD Remix' fan made OST, portraits were ugly and the art style was meh overall. ULTRA SF2 still uses the same meh sprites, but at least the soundtrack is good, portraits are true HD rendition of the original ones, and of course you can play with the old pixel art graphics.

HD remix is more remembered for it's name than anything else. because it's not HD Remix, it's Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix... It's up there with Final Fantasy 10-2 & 13-2, Kingdom Hearts 358/2 (said three five eight days over two), and NieR Replicant ver.1.22474487139... (the ellipses being part of the title) for "most comically stupid video game names of all time"

Sony did actually put money into SFXT, in terms of additional marketing money, in exchange for the exclusives.

Sony has and continues to do a lot of scummy backdoor stuff to get exclusivity, RE3 probably being the most infamous example to me. That said, at least Sega got a fuckton of exclusive Capcom fighters on the dreamcast + the best ports of MvC2.

Still pisses me off that people were actually threatening to kill themselves over Bayonetta 2 being Wii U exclusive, sending death threats to the developers, all that usual crap. @@TeryJones I keep saying I'm pretty sure this is Switch Exclusive because capcom can't be bothered to demake SF5 or 6 for the switch like NetherRealm did for MK11 of SNK did for SamSho, so just decided to update an older game to satiate fans. Similar to what they did with DMC3 on the switch being basically a replacement for DMC5. Outside of that though, most of Nintendo's exclusives are first or second party where as Sony tends to prefer to offer cash under the table in exchange for exclusivity or bonus content a la SvT or as mentioned RE3.

That's a bit harsh. Max has one of the fastest moving chats I've ever seen, even in slow mode, it's insane to try to catch any one message, so I really don't think that's him "ignoring" it. But okay. Anyway, there's gonna be a new TKO tomorrow.
