Go to most any dealership and get the proper fleetgaurd filter for it. Cummins owns fleetgaurd filtration. Don't run aftermarket junk.

The post the filter fits on might be loose and turning when you’re screwing the filter on. When you pull the filter off see if you can turn the center stud the filter screws on.

Not sure if thats made that way on an isx but i know for it is on c15. Blew my oil filter housing apart at the oak grove 70 truck stop bc the petro shop didnt know that and put the filter bsck on with only a couple threads of that center part screwed into the housing. Costly mistake, might wanna check that.

I had trouble with an oil filter from Amazon sealing also, but for a pick up truck. AC Delco filter. The threaded part didn't look to be centered correctly ,which kept the rubber gasket from sealing properly

I would be Leary of Amazon filter purchases. Counterfeit parts are everywhere now days. With that being said, if the X15 filter threads on like the ISX 15 I have seen them be loose. Almost freighting when you go to change oil and the filter not even be hand tight. Not sure why they seem to get loose over time. Most filters get tighter.

I have Detroit and the stud oil filter screws on has come loose one time. According to the shop it not that uncommon for that stud to come loose.

I delivered to a Jacuzzi place on highland drive. Unfortunately the world is full of bad people looking to take advantage of anyone they can.

After realizing I was out money I decided to look up their address and it comes up to a KFC on Google maps so they must have multiple companies and authorities to give people the run around. Def one to avoid cuz after you deliver they block your number.

Check your threads that the filter screws on to they could be bad or broke I had to replace mi e I also take a sharpie & mark the filter & housing with a straight line e that way I can glimpse at it & see if it's backing off every time I change oil I remark them

robert find a hose clamp that fits around the oil filter and put it over it and safety wire it in some way to stop it turning off and leaking.

The first engine I ever built was a 327. Blew it 1 year later because the oil filter came loose. That's not happening to me again! IDK if there's a chance that the Amazon filters could be counterfeit, but I buy all my filters (only Fleetguard) and oil at MHC in either Macon or McDonough.

You got to check to width of the hole of the filter housing. I had a aftermarket filter blow of on a kubota motor. Replaced with oem. Found out the hole width of the after market filter one thousand of inch bigger.

Robert look into felt tarps u cover stuff like that n it protects your tarps from freight they r 15 ft wide rolls n u can get as long as u want them . I have 2 of them they cover my whole step trailer loaded . They r about 200 to 300 bucks a pce depends how big u want them

I have changed my oil for 60 years and never had a filter leak until now. On my Chevy I bought a GM filter it came with Chinese stuff all over it. Guess what it leaks.

Assuming it's NOT just condensation that's leaking onto the road with residual oil washing off places that you didn't clean up under there(?) then temperature changes can loosen a filter.... Best to cinch it down tight when the engine and oil are cold as heat expands everything so it will get tighter after heating up. I don't know if you're tightening it by hand as many of us do on cars but it's probably best to use a wrench on this filter...

Fleetguard filters get tightened 3/4 turn past touching, and you can do that by hand on my ISX.

Not sure what he got but but if it was my engine only cummins filter or good aftermarket filter but I also remember him adding that secondary oil filter with hoses, I would get rid of it because when those hoses fail your oil gets pumped out of engine I understand why he did it but it's one more thing that's going to fail

Picked up a few times at that Richie brother's. My doggies were in the front seat and barking. They never said anything about them. Maybe they said they couldn't be outside cause of bathroom. Never, ever take a load down to Houston tx on the daw property. They immediately said I couldn't bring them on property at all. Couldn't be in truck or nothing. They suggested I take them to the dog kennel while I get I unloaded. Yeah f em it was over 100 and they're Shepards. It was a oversize that only needed to be untarped and unchained. 20 mins to unload. Picked that up from Cincinnati Ohio.

That does seem a little strange that a company has a restriction on an animal inside your cab. Maybe it’s an insurance liability issue, because most people don’t just come on a business loading area and let the animals out. 🏍🇺🇸🎒

@glcmranger421 they said it at cause of people letting animals loose. I flat out looked at them like they're insane. This is a 3rd party business on dow property and they follow a chemical plant rules. No dogs, no smoking. We're prolly a mile from the plant or more. The reciever tried to get them to allow to store my dogs in his office. Didn't work but it would be the same effect as in truck. It wasn't in rate con about animals or anything of the rules down there. It was on the last page on the bills though. Which you only get after you've loaded and tarped 30 seconds from leaving the plant.

@@flounder5946 I understand that. I’m thinking the issue is that they don’t want animals outside of the truck, but the way they solve it is to say you can’t bring animals onto the property. If it were a real problem, they would do the work to ensure no animals entered. “Thanks for hauling our product for peanuts, but don’t bring your dog, cat, bird, snake or spouse on our property!” 👌🏼 Take care out there!

The way I do mine I take my finger and rub oil on the top of the gasket And yes you really have to torque the oil filter down Robert same way with fuel filters ,They have to be tight they cannot be loose , I have a belt filter wrench and I make sure my filters are tight and I do not have no problems , you two be safe out there take care yourselves

I have been working on the ISX for years and have only used the fleet guard filter and never had issues with any of them, I also crack them down really tight due to them coming loose The filter number is - #LF14001NN
