There was a third cup when we first see the flashback scene the first time. Only we do not see the cup, just a small shadow at the edge of the screen signifying there was something there. To be honest I thought the shadow was the saki bottle at first

three brothers have different personalities but get along very well, while Ace has a reckless personality. But Sabo was more calm and thoughtful. Luffy is the chaotic but always lovable little brother. I love this character design.

@@PhoebusA You're not spoiling what the dream is, obviously. Many people didn't realize his dream is not being king of the pirates just from those scenes. That's what you're spoiling. You're confirming it way before the story does. I only started picking up on it when there's the flashback of Ace and Yamato. And I know people who got very surprised when Luffy tells it himself when they're leaving Wano, meaning they never got any of the hints.

Not sure if someone else said this already but, in this sake brother scene, previous flashback are always close up and in a different angle to seem like only 2 cup. Whenever I saw those flashback I always thought it was weird, but when I saw this scene (which isn't close up anymore) it clicked and it was amazingly shown.

There was this theory in the community after this chapter was released. We don't actually see Luffy say King of the Pirates which means it could be something else too. Or maybe it is the king of the pirates after all and people are simply overthinking it.

Luffy’s established personality would seem to point that he is not saying it here. Luffy says he is going to be king of pirates every time he gets a chance. And we see it all the time, why would Oda hide it this time. There’s definitely something else here.

Luffy has said that Ace is the only brother he's got, at least at Marineford if not other times as well. I found it confusing to find out about Sabo at the start of this part of the series because of that. Ace mentioned Sabo for the first time while he was saying his last words to Luffy. It'll make sense later, though. And then even later....

That's a spoiler. No matter how you might say "it's hinted" or character X said it, they're all just some very subtle foreshadowing and not a confirmation. You're giving a confirmation of something that manga people should know, not even the anime is there yet.

25:45 This has misleading subtitle. Luffy only said 「俺はなあー」 (“Ore Wa Naa…”) which can only mean “I…” or “I am…” # ‘Ore’ means ‘I’, ‘Wa’ is just a topic marker particle, ‘Naa…’ is used to get someone attention like ‘hey…’ So, at this scene, Luffy revealed his real intention or dream on his end of journey. And becoming the king of the pirates is the only way to realized his real dream. Shanks told Rayleigh (in Sabaody arc flashback) that Luffy’s real dream is the same as Roger. And Roger never said that he was or he dreamed to be the king of pirates

seriously he didn't even know Eiichiro Oda's fullname? in the end of every episodes there is a watermark: © Eiichiro Oda/Shueisha, Toei Animation i don't want to be a hater but i understand why so many people talk shit about your reactions, because you always ignoring the basic important small details like this.. it seems like you don't really care and it hurts the fans.. "it's not a big deal" "it's not that deep bro" yeah whatever, but for some of us One Piece is already become part of our journey since we were kids, and i know you won't understand that too 😅 i hope you can take the critics without playing victim or turn the table and actually be better.
