A lot of people hate fairy tail because of 3 major reasons, first is the fan service, second is every arcs is so repetitive (but there are some arcs that are mind blowing and emotional), third is the power of friendship. But I still recommend you watch it. I watched anime for over 8 years now, Fairy Tail is the one that introduce me to anime that's why it have special place in my heart. I just re-watched this during pandemic, then I just realized that this show is not that great like how I see it when the first time I watched it, but Fairy Tail is one of the anime out there that can make you feel that you are part of the show, that you are part of their family. Fairy Tail fans will understand what I'm saying. That's why don't listen to others when they are saying don't watch the show, you can judge it after watching some few episodes. Also the characters on this show is so likable, each character have a very unique personalities.

Imo, the show is very good. Back in the early 2010s it was keeping up with the big 3 One Piece, Naruto, and Bleach. The manga was selling like crazy, and its pretty much a classic shonen now, and part of the biggest magic animes of all time. Every show does have its flaws, and Fairy Tail is part of that. But it has some of the best peaks in anime as well. Overall the show is really good, and has a great cast of characters. The OSTs are some of the best in anime, and its just a fun show in general 🔥👌

FT has 328 total episodes with 3 seasons (175+102+51). If I'm being honest here there's a lot of anime that is worth watching than FT. But it doesn't mean it's bad, but it's just not that great. The plus point of FT is the character, all of them is so likeable and the interaction between them is so much fun to watch. Besides the opening, the OST too, this anime has one of the best OST out of the anime I've ever watched. This anime is so enjoyable to watch, for me at least. Overall 8/10.

31:00 This isn't actually explained in the anime so I can actually answer this. Magic in Fairy Tail can change you physically, take broccoli for example... his magic is nature itself. Like, he can make giant trees and control their growth and use them to fight... kinda like Wood Style in Naruto except more natural. Can you see how his magic changed him physically? If you look at when it shows him it fades to another guy with spiky black hair; him when he was younger.

I love Fairy Tail!!! Sure it’s not the Best Anime Ever, but it’s really close to my heart and got me through a really rough time in life. Yes the story format is simple and yes the fanservice can get annoying, but it’s still fun and emotional and has a lot of really wonderful, unique characters. And the fight scenes are great too, as you saw in the openings! The first few episodes are a little slow, but please give it a chance and decide for yourself on it.

Ngl, Fairy Tail isn’t for everyone. If you’re someone who’s okay with the power of friendship, then I think you’ll enjoy the show just fine. Personally I think the show is great up until the final season. But regardless it’s very enjoyable overall

If your more into anime you can watch the anime it has a god tier OST but it was censored so if you want a more mature/violent/brutal fairy tail you can read the manga ,it has a top tier art

The character that looks like Shanks ( Gildarts) doesn't look as much like Shanks in the manga, he wasn't even supposed to have red hair, instead it should have been brown. At least from what I have heard and read.

Honestly the show is pretty fun. Sure it’s got some flaws, but ultimately it’s really enjoyable. Especially the Tournament arc/Tártaros arc which take place back to back. Id Def recommend watching it

Notes For If You Choose To React To Fairy Tail: I have only seen your intro so far but figured I should comment all this since reacting/watching FT is on the table for you. No spoilers. It receives a lot of unwarranted hate. A lot of people go into FT expecting a heavy shonen like One Piece and Naruto and Bleach; when they don't get that heavyness, they're left disappointed and angry at the show like it's the show's fault that they had expectations. So please promise me that when you one day watch FT... go into it with ZERO expectations and take it for what it is and base your opinion on it like that. I understand a few of the haters just genuinely don't like it, but the vast majority go into it with the wrong mindset.

I totally recommend listening to AmaLee's covers for these. She's done them for Believe in Myself, Snow Fairy, Masayume Chasing, Strike Back, and Ashita wo Narase. At least some that I know of. And she has wicked vocals. I think you might like them!

The show actually has a lot of references to other shows even the mans own work. One piece, Jojo's bizarre adventure, dbz, and so on. A lot of the characters are reused from his previous show rave master and if you want to see it, U can find most of the fairy tail character designs in his new show Eden Zero. There is even a sub episode where they have the characters of rave master x fairy tail.

My favorite anime. One of the best. Haters gonna hate. 🤭

Fairy tail manga currently have 666 chapters in total including prequel and sequel with 75 volumes and the anime currently have 328 episodes with 9 OVA and 2 movies

Personally i think due to the bandwagon hate that fairy tail has been getting from people who don't even know the plot of it, FT fans are becoming a bit too humble, What people deem as ft's flaw isn't even a flaw. 'they depend on magic of friendship too much', 1st no they don't, watch at least 2 seasons and try and tell me they do. 2nd even if they did it's not a problem because in fairy tail, friendship is literally a source of magic (search 'one magic / essence of magic or natsu's flame of emotion) so yes the more bonds and the stronger the bonds, the stronger the magic. So magic of friendship is really just as valid as Naruto's talk no jutsu. (During my research to make sure this was accurate i found out that its actually the power of emotions rather than friendship, which can also explain why zeref is strong and how his power kinda work.) I'm usually not one to comment or even defend ft on socials, not because i'm scared but bc i'm not that bothered its peoples opinions and their right to it but it's really sad to see ft fans confidence dwindle even in comment sections that praise FT. Its like their preparing the reactor by putting the bar so low, they can't get disappointed. Fairy tail still has some flaws ngl but we shouldn't be ashamed of this one. Not sure if someone told you but the ones you asked if they were siblings at 28:38 are not related. They are a couple. Well theyre in the will they wont they thing. But they are basically a couple in everything but them saying they are officially. The guy uses ice magic and the girl uses water magic. So you can see how their powers would compliment each other and by anime logic dictates they be together.

Is the show good? No, it's just average. Is it enjoyable? Somewhat. It's not the first time people like watching/reading trash (yeah, I'm one of those people). In other words, Fairy Tail is overrated, but still worth to try. That depends on you if you want to try it. At least you can decide after watching 1 or 2 episodes.
