When you’re feeling cold - that’s a cue, your body wants you to put on a sweater. When you’re having palpitations and fast breathing, this is a clue. Your body is trying to tell you something, not unlikely that you’re anxious. Telling a cue from a clue is critical for avoiding a negative emotion you didn’t even know you had.

Hi Daniel, I've been making a bit of a progress this night. After I woke up after one sleep cycle feeling wide awake and having no idea why, not feeling anxious etc, I realized that my legs felt very warm, a feeling that I always get when I'm in Hyperarousal state. So I didnt feel the anxiety directly but I could notice it this way. This calmed me down and I managed falling asleep again without being awake for hours! The night was not as restful as my normal nights, but still I consider it as a progress!

This is awesome! You did exactly what is so helpful, you recognized the clues from your body, you identified it as hyperarousal and you did not start reacting to it/try to resist it. It's like so many other things, it won't be an immediate dramatic change, but you are training your brain that hyperarousal cannot hurt you. With time, it will bother you less and less and less!

@@thesleepcoachschool8192 I couldn't say this better. Now I really hope I will recognize the hyper arousal this night again. Maybe we can even become friends with time! 😁 Thank you for everything Daniel!

@@thesleepcoachschool8192 didnt sleep at all this night and I'm not a bit worried or anxious! Because I absolutely know that this is a PROOF for hyperarousal. Such a progress to some months ago when I would completely panic after a sleepness night. Now I just think: okay well then this is pretty cool, sometimes I just dont need sleep 😁 all thanks to you and your channel. Only through you I learned how huge the impact of hyperarousal is. Again thank you so much and have a nice day 😊
