It’s the fact that the show sticks with you a long, long time afterwards that gets me! Amazing writing and Ambika and Leo were simply spellbinding

Two weeks later after watching it I’m still thinking about it. It’s rare for a show to do that 😢

hit hard watching Dexter fall apart as a man especially in the instances where he was losing his mother and spiraling back into his old destructive habits, I knew what he needed in that moment was a true friend and it broke me to realize that his entire life he hadn't really made any real friends who looked out for him other than Emma (Tilly, Ian and others were from Emma's circle and Callum is a dickhead). I think why this show resonates with so many people is that a lot of us can experience a true moment of catharsis facing the reality of growing into adulthood, experiencing joy, love, deceit, regret, death and loss through the eyes of beloved believable fictional characters and acknowledging that no matter how painful, one day we will move on.

I don't know if any of you noticed, i didn't the first time but on the climb to Arthur's seat with Jazz there were yellow flowers dotted about the same colour as Emily's top in their climb, also Emma had a red hair tie, Jazz also had a red one in that last episode.

I CRIED for like 2 hours the first time I saw the series. I didn't think I would cry again when I watched your reaction, but here I am again...

Girl, you are very strong! I was sobbing and moaning through the last episode and couldn't stop crying for an hour after that. And I knew the whole plot. I think Emma's death was not at all superficial, not kind of a plot device. Just life as it is, the best of us are often gone way too soon, though they deserve the happiest, longest life full of happiness... Amazing story, magnificent actors brought these characters to life, it will always hold a special place in my soul.

I loved your whole reaction to this series!! I agree with you, there are so many sad movies where one of the main character dies, but this one just felt like it actually had a purpose, it wasn’t just sad, it’s a whole lesson about life and love and friendships and cherishing what you have, because you’ll never know when it’ll be taken away from you.

Emma's death scene is gut wrenching and geniusly filmed by the director cause they showed Em's last seconds of her life, seeing herself as a young girl in "flashback-style". Its the exact same technique that were used in the most epic/emotional death scene in movie history - in the movie Armageddon (1998). with all that soundtrack score elevating it to perfection, that scene in Armageddon is unmatched (without spoiling too much for those of you who haven't seen the movie yet ; )

before i watched this show i didn't know i was able to cry for one hour straight - i literally bawled my eyes out

during the S3x scene did you guys also notice a single tear drop on Dexter's cheek out of pure happiness? Both actors are extremely talented.

I loved it!!!!!! I don’t think it is a show for everyone but I liked that the characters changed over time as we all do. A good 8/10 show

It is such a wonderful show, I agree! My heart still aches and I finished this in early Feb! 😭 What wonderful casting in Ambika and Leo. I also agree, I wish Emma didn't have to go like that... ❣

The series of One Day is better than the movie.
