The referees and var should also be given cards to poor officiating, yellow for mild offences and red for serious one. Collect a red or enough yellows and you serve a suspension of x amount of games. The more you infringe the longer the suspension gets. There needs to be some accountability, without it they will not correct themselves. We're just out here hoping that the serial killer gets tired of murder wtf, there must be correct action. Referees' performance must be reviewed, if they struggle then we must help them, like performance management.

All of the big leagues in Europe are sad: a very few teams dominate each one. They should peel off and play in a super-league and let the bona fide national leagues have some competition with spending equality.

I think we (liverpool) fell off after that penalty decision against city, heads dropped and frustration overflowed realising no matter how good we are, the referees decide how this premier league goes not the players.

There’s a multitude of things wrong with VAR. The main one being, you’ve still got a couple of humans in the loop, that will leave it open to error and also subjective opinion. Also the fact they don’t take into account previous decisions from other games is just ridiculous. It’s like these refs are in some sort of entitled bubble.

Even if the referees got every decision correct this season, contact rules, especially inside the box, are entirely too soft imo. Not every little instance of contact has to be given as a foul. And because of how inconsistent the PGMOL has been, fans and players alike can either be expected to regard everything as a foul, or be aggrieved about all the fouls they didn’t get in their favor. Prem is a joke.

The main footballing reason Klopp is leaving because of the things out of his control namely refereeing and Man City. The impact of incorrect calls & VAR has killed the enjoyment for him. He is also powerless & frustrated with having to go against the financial juggernaut of Man city. So he’s just given up but can’t say it to the media until he’s left. Pep meanwhile doesn’t have these issues obviously.

Mark’s perspective of Spurs won’t try and beat City because it’ll be the reason Arsenal win the league is one straight from a fans POV. I don’t think Ange would go in the locker room and not motivate and demand his team to win every game no matter the circumstance so I think Spurs will try to beat City. ‘Clear and Obvious’ definitely needs to go. It’s a kop out and only there to protect errors. I think VAR will be drastically improved if you only had VAR Officials working VAR and not having referees work VAR too. Let the refs just ref. They can concentrate on that and get rid of the mistakes. Have VAR only officials working VAR each week so they will become efficient and consistent. You’ll soon see the mistakes VAR make become less and less. I think it’s the only way to save VAR because lets be honest, UNFORTUNATELY, it isn’t being scrapped anytime soon.

Liverpool might not win big trophy this season or the last , but we never reach the low of the lowest to be the second team in our own city .Its not for a season or half season.
