Noah Lyles, an American professional track and field sprinter who has been competing in 100 meters as well as 200m is currently on top of his game. He's won two gold medals at World Championships (2019 & 2020) which also led him to be crowned 2019 world champion; together with this success came an Olympic bronze medalist title too!
Noah Lyles is also a founder of the Lyles Foundation. Our purpose, as a non-profit, is to empower youth through the advancement of health & wellness in communities nationwide. We provide financial support and motivation by collaborating with global, national, & local partners. Our community is full of people who want to help. Norman 10.09 on the curve is wild. Makes sense why hes trying the 100m. Not many people can run 10.0 on the curve.

Norman is one of only 3 or 4 people to ever go sub 44s, sub 20s and sub 10s in T&F so he's no newbie when it comes to the 100m.

@@GrAdeAjAmAicAn Only 3 people on record have gone 10.0 on the curve. Bolt 10.02 on the curve in 2008 for 19.30 and 10.00 in 2012 when he ran 19.32 both when he was in 9.6 shape. And 10.05 when he ran 19.55 in 2015, he was also in 9.7 shape. Tyson Gay 10.05 on the curve in 2006 to hit 19.68. Noah Lyles actually ran 10.07 on the curve to hit 19.31 in Eugene. Those are the only people on record who I can see have ran 10.0 on a curve on record. Norman after bolt is probably the fastest curve runner as hes gone 10.0 multiple times on the curve.

@@actual_random I still fall to understand what anything you have said has to do with him "trying" the 100m when he's had 3 sub 10s clockings (9.86 PB) in the event. His top 10 performances span from 2013 to present.

@@GrAdeAjAmAicAn I'm saying his 10.09 on the curve is more impressive than a sub 10 clocking. The curve is generally 0.34-0.45s slower than your flat 100m. That's indicating he can go 9.7. And of the other 3 who have gone 10.0 on a curve 2/3 have ran 9.6

@@actual_random actually I did not go run 10.0 on the turn when I ran 19.31. I ran 10.16 on the first 100 and 9.15 on the straight.

Incredible sprinter and very lucid, sharp man here!!! I love his analysis, openness and honesty, especially about the turtle poking his head a little bit during that race! Been there!!! Not fun!! Noah you ran 10.07 on the curve in Eugene (via PJVazel), the 10.16 split was from the bibs but the Diamond League race is video analysis so its actually accurate while the Eugene splits are GPS. If you watch the videos back you can see the GPS has the order wrong at 100m as well so definitely wrong.

Brother, you better strap your boots up for this season because this isn't like the past. The field is stronger than I've ever seen it. Not only is it stronger but it's all younger guys who are right on your hip. If Fanbullah was 5m ahead of you at this point, it would be hard to catch him. He's running legit top ends the same as you but the real question is will you be that close to a lot of guys this year coming off the turn? You need to aim to come off the turn ahead or right near the lead. Really, idk why you aren't running 400m races. You would be untouchable. There's a lot of guys who probably should be running 200m 400m but pride. I know you're the champ this year, don't disappoint.
