For anyone with a thirdgens I recommend running your headlights of a relay. All the power for the headlights is sent through the switch. The switch will control the relay and then the battery will power the headlights. They will be much brighter this way and you can lessen the load on the alt.

I was driving through a nieghborhood and saw a sign that said "drive like your kids live here" ...so I turned off my headlights and pulled a stealthy u-turn right the hell out of there.

Thank you for this video. I was having problems because my lights were supposed to be plug and play. I had ran a relay harness and they worked. But when you explained the wiring issue I ran outside and switched them around and now they work without the relay harness! Thank you @Bearded Reviews!

Posi taps are great! T taps are great too, but definitely not for tighter spaces. I overhauled my 72 chevelle, and those t taps /posi taps were life savers! Great video man!

In your video looks like you had red and yellow, where the yellow you just capped. I wonder if I also just need to connect the red to brown/power, and leave black capped? Or ground it?

You need to tighten the steering column for your high beam switch. Take the steering wheel off, pull the switches and wiring out and deep in the back you'll see 3 10mm bolts that you'll tighten up. High beams fixed

I did mine today I painted the trim back to black though, also I got mine of Amazon for $100 the halos work via the phone, mine have 15 leds each 1/2 turn on with low beam all 60 with high

1969 Chevy truck floor dimmer switch will fix the high beams. Trim the plastic connector plug, it's a direct plug in with just enough wire to floor mount where it should be located. Press on the left side of the steering wheel should allow your existing dimmer switch work if it's not broken completely needing replaced.

Got hurt at work and tore 2 discs in my back lost everything. My wife left me, lost my house, car, EVERYTHING. My mom and step dad are moving and cant afford to take all 4 cars they own so they gave me there 91 camaro. I love this car but cant afford to fix it up or even get it legal. I got a video on a quick fix for your brights. When I got my car mine wasn't working. I got to get me some of them lights. I just replaced starter, and did a tune up on mine. Plugs, wires, d-cap, button, and coil, now my dime lights not coming on. They come on with my brights though. Probably relay.

Did you ever figure out how to get the high beams to work ? I installed mine but when i turn on my high beams my running lights on each side lose all visibility

Octane lighting has some good kits even plasma halo kits... I got 4 headlights and a HID kit from them years ago the LED halos slowly burned out tho FYI I’m going with the color changing plasma soon in my 3rd gen

Hey, I’m doing the same thing to an ‘89 Volvo 740T. Same exact headlight cluster as your Camaro. But the DRL’s worry me. Classic Volvo’s have a headlight switch with the common OFF / PARKING / ON. However Volvo basically allows drivers to leave their headlight switch. When the car is off, the lights are off. When the *ignition is on, the lights are ON, except when the starter is engaged. PARKING mode, keeps the lights ON, no matter if the car is on or off. Simple but weird. Do you see me having issues? ie...how or what would I run or tap into, to have the DRL’s on, with the car on but the headlight switch on OFF? Might I have to do something weird like tap into the fog lights? Appreciate your thoughts.

If the lever is really loose and won't turn the brights on the rod for the brights is disconnected its in the steering column look the head light switch in steering column if the rod is also out of place.

Those are Wire Strippers , they strip the insulation off the wire. Then you have a stripped wire end . 😉

Hey I got a 82 Buick I’m having problems when I use my turning signal they just stay on but don’t turn on in off I have them wired to the side marker

Oracle lighting makes them to they also have Switchback led from white to amber for turn signal trust me you are going to want them

The brights on my 1990 camaro didnt work when I first bought it. Then after playing around with it I found out it depended on the tilt of my steering wheel. The brights only worked If my steering wheel was locked into a certain position. Not sure if that helps.

Question man . I installed these on my 86 thunderbird everything functions except the white halos (red wire) I hooked them up directly to my vehicles DRL’s, I’m getting nothing. The yellow halos (yellow wire) do work tho, but yea man nothing from white halos I’m going crazy trying to figure this out is there a certain amperage or wattage needed to activate the white halos?

are you happy with the brightness of these? I bought a H4 light set and they absolutely SUCKED....barely lit the road directly in front of me.

Not sure if youl answer this but il give it a shot. Bought a pair of the lights for my 84 z28. When I try and tap the brown wire for the running lights it wont turn on the halos or the headlights. just the under 2 regular running lights still turn on. Kinda stumped

Can you tell me where you got the 16 gauge wire? This will be my first time ever changing anything on a car myself other than a tire so I loaded my Amazon cart with everything on your list but the wire and With my lack of knowledge on how important the same wire is, I’m not sure which one I should get on Amazon and would rather not chance being without lights while driving around because I did it wrong.
