I like that in explaining how his rich grindset prohibits him from changing the oil in his car, "because it isn't worth his time", he is explaining the logic of capitalism. Some people have to do the jobs which enable rich people to live their lifestyle, and these people are paid a lot less than others because their work is valued differently. For rich people to succeed, they must be able to save their own time by offloading work 'beneath them' to a lower class. Inequality is built right into this system and the guy is too thick to see it in his own analogy. This isn't a guide to getting rich which everyone can use, it's a guide on how to seek more oppurtunities to exploit people and stand on their shoulders.

The Abraham cult gets even creepier when you look into it. From Wikipedia: According to Esther and Jerry Hicks, "Abraham" consists of a group of entities that are "interpreted" by Esther Hicks. Abraham has described themselves as "a group consciousness from the non-physical dimension". They have also said, "We are that which you are. You are the leading edge of that which we are. We are that which is at the heart of all religions." Abraham has said through Esther that, whenever one feels moments of great love, exhilaration, or pure joy, that is the energy of source and that is who Abraham is.

I would really love to write a long philosophical comment about the cancerous nature of capitalism, but i've just realized that this is what poor people do, so i will have someone else write that comment for me.

Dan Lok just gives basic human principles classes, including counting, the explanation of time and basic social interactions. Sounds like elementary school. Dan Lok is a well dressed elementary school teacher, nothing wrong with that.

oh wow! Thankyou Dan Lock for showing me how to shake someones hand, no more touching tips with strangers like a poor person.

I still prefer that method

Can't let the poor person greeting deter you. As a woman I can't touch tips, so I just grab firmly and shake like Dan taught me.

tbh i like this channel at least as much as i did a thing. Would love more videos like the arms convention and the covid restriction videos, this is just the kind of political content I miss on youtube! Since it's either video essays or activist group pr. Something like this that sits on the edge between satire, activism and entertainment is just awesome

It's amazing how people get rich by teaching other people how to be rich! Dan Lock has an almost cult-like following that worships him as the god of success or something.

Basically the old trope: work hard and you're going to be rich. It also helps if you have parents that will give you a "small" loan to start your own business - let's say a million bucks. Edit: also, what kind of 50s suit is that guy wearing anyway?

I read ~800 books in the last 5 years. I'm still poor, but the doormen at the national library know me by face. Stonks?

You're borrowing books instead of buying some rich grifter's garbage? That's why you're poor!
@zwenkwiel8162 жыл бұрын
Jeff is right, I mean just look at his name he even got the "my name is" part down perfectly. Anyway you shouldn't go to your library you should buy books and store them in a bookcase next to your Bentley like all the rich people do.
