What's really broken is my heart. As a BRZ owner in real life and as a huge fan of Subaru R&D in Super GT, I hate how bad this car is to drive in the game. Slow on the straights, cannot handle curbs, oversteers out of corners, bad brakes.

I feel your pain. Whether it is tuning options, or the way the car handles, brakes and performs the BMW M6 is NOTHING like the actual car. Zero resemblance. PD is lazy!

What makes this even more wild, is this car was completely OP when it was added to the game. They balanced it not long after that, but have since made it awful.

The brakes are atrocious on the BRZ for damn sure!! It's really sad because it looks so good. I think the RCZ has the best brakes in gr3.

No clue why they decided to nerf the BRZ so much? The car wasn’t even one of the top cars to begin with. It was always kinda just middle of the pack. Weird decision.

It's to mirror real life Super GT lol. The BRZ is really strong in GT300 and often gets penalized by BoP ballast weight to slow it down.

I'm pretty sure it has sth to do with the drivers as well... the fastest drivers are literally choosing Subaru and no matter how much PD nerfs it, they still got into finals

when gt7 came out, this used to be one of my favorite cars in the game and it used to be one of the strongest gr3 cars. Over time they did multiple bop changes to it and made it horrible to drive. Without bop, this car destroys every single gr3 car especially in top speed.

It's such a bummer, that's my favorite gr3 car. The BRZ is much more usable when you open the acceleration in the differential.

Thank you Tidgney. After loving this car and driving it almost exclusively for the past several months, I've felt it falling further and further behind. I haven't won a daily race in several months. This video is what finally made me give up on the car in-game and choose something else. I love Porsches (heck I even own a cheap Boxster irl) so I tried the 911 on daily race B and just won twice in a row. So yeah, thank you for this video giving me the strength to finally move on from the BRZ Gr.3.

The BRZ was lovely to drive when it was first introduced to the game, but it was quickly nerfed - someone must have fallen out with Subaru bigly!

1 - This car does amazingly well at the Nordschleife when it's in clean air, and it can really hook into high speed corners better than most other Gr.3 cars. It doesn't need to brake or correct mid-corner as much as other cars do and it can carry more speed into the straights that way. 2 - Once on the straights, hopefully you had a good exit from the last corner because if not, that advantage turns into the slowest straight-line car in Gr.3. 3 - Now that everyone has passed you on the straight, prepare to enter the next corner stuck behind someone who's car can't corner as flat out as you. 4 - Enter the next straight even slower than the last one! 5 - Repeat, repeat, repeat.

I love the BRZ when it was first come into GT7, it handles really well, good tyre life and for a handling car its very grippy but thats was in the old ge physics, the BRZ now is just bad with no rear end grip, bad on tyres and with the recent nerf being slower and heavier its beyond useable and only be used by World Series drivers that will somehow get this car into the Finals once again.

Never used it myself, but it's still a very popular car in BoPped Gr.3 open lobbies on the Nordschleife. So I wonder if it really is this bad, or if the strengths will show in the car profile.

Looks like the BRZ has been nerfed to irrelevancy like most of the VGT's sadly, it's a shame (same with how older cars of a manufacturer are handled) If there is one car I'd like to suggest for beat the meta though. Maybe try the Suzuki VGT Gr3, a car with decent straight line and got buffedi n the most recent BoP update finally...but it's felt off ever since the mar 2023 physics update

For a short while it was the top car for fuel and tyre wear strategy. Can remember watching a video by you Tidgney or was it Deadeyedelboy? saying it was like cheating it had such an advantage at Watkins Glen as a pitstop was not required in that race C. But yes now its just rubbish. Its so slow its like it's in the wrong race class. Oh and the exhaust sound messes up my tv sound up if I'm anywhere near the thing. It just drowns out all other sounds. Have got round it by plugging in the headphones to the controller and is fine now.

I tried brz on bathurst time trial few days ago and in 1st sector (20seconds) i was late already 0.5s lol incredibly slow, like it's a gr4

I've seen people be competitive in this car but it's just never worked for me at all. It's a shame because I love the way it looks. In relation to cars I'd like to see, The Mitsi and Citroen. I've used both in the past. The Gr4 Citroen is easily more competitive (for me) than the Gr3. The Mitsis both seem to be competitive at the moment. Atleast in the races I've tried them.

I really hate how we’re stuck with fantasy cars and unrealistic groupings. Who in their right mind would turn a rallycar into an RWD gr3? GrB is the most obvious, actual real life grB’s are at a disadvantage. The Audi is a Pikes Peak version, not a grB. The Toyo is a wrc car, not a grB. Only the Peut is real, but it‘s underpowered. The rest don’t exist, but they will hurt you. Gr1 is a complete mess, don’t go there if you like your old time grC. Gr3/4, most of them don’t exist either. They’re dreamcars, some of them are nightmares at that. Gr2 is what? The McL F1 original is gr3 but the Langhecke is gr2? And the original is nerfed because of it? The only gr2 to drive is of course Japanese, the GT-R. What a blatant mess. Thanks, but no thanks. I’ll stick to private lobbies with roadcars, professionally tuned in agreement. It pays pennies but it’s real. I used to be quite active online in gts, now I can’t imagine why I should. The thrill is truly gone.

Well to be fair, the Group 3 regulation works similarly to GT3 irl, no AWDs are allowed. Hence all the cars are REQUIRED to have RWD. Its like asking Nissan why their GTR GT3 is RWD when the car is an actual homologated GT3 irl, and the fact that some manufacturers don't have Group 3 cars, PD just has to do it. I agree with the Group 1 and 4 too. Group 4 is a mess, some AWDs are AWD, while other AWDs are SOMEHOW RWD (I'm talking about u NSX), the drivetrain is not universal so it's a freaking mess, while for Group 1, u are either Group Cs or LMP1s coz other cars just don't work Similarly for Group 2, u are either GT1 or GT500. Bit of defending too coz the F1 GTR '95 just doesn't have enough downforce, while the '97 one does. Either way it's a mess too, both Group 1 and 2 are just both extreme, u either seek for cornering speed or straight line speed
