We are back with a Car Profile! Car Profiles give you the information about the car and where the car currently sits in terms of Balance of Performance. If there is an update to the Balance of Performance or Physics I will do my best to update you in a follow up video or via the website.

Car Profile FAQ;
- Why Maximum RPM and not Maximum Performance on the Fuel Test? This is because not everyone uses bumper so they can't see the rev range. They can however see the Bar and that's why we use that. It also gives you an indication at how good it is at saving fuel because when we go to shortshifting you can see the difference with saving fuel as well as the performance.
- Why are you using Tyre Wear? This is because the official Balance of Performance is done using Fuel and Tyre wear so will be more accurate.
- Why Optimum over Fastest Laps? Because it's easier to get 10 individual best sectors than to get 10 best laps. You could blitz a sector 3 1 lap and a sector 2 the next lap and combined they create the optimum lap and a better picture.
- Why are you doing 10 laps? This is because after that I feel tyre wear and fuel becomes more impactful.
- Why Racing Medium tyres? I use this tyre as it's the "Middle" tyre in racing compounds. I feel the cars should be MOST balanced on this tyre in my opinion
- Why no RAIN Test? a Rain test would not give the full picture because light rain is different to medium and heavy and cars react differently in each of the variations. No test would be the same and so would not be very informative.
- What does the number in brackets mean on the Fuel Tests? This is how much fuel was saved from the FM1 run. The bigger the number the more it saved.

Im so glad the audi received a bit of a buff. The audi IRL should ideally dominate similarly to the porsche, BMW and Mercedes and it seems like gt7 is kinda reflecting reality now. The audi is my favorite car in Group 3. And im glad its finally sitting in a position where it rightfully should be.

I absolutely agree with you Tidgney, they made sure to keep the Genesis at the top of the pack, even though there is no real world equivalent for this car, and the Gr.3 Supra, to really compare them to. We all know the GT-R is Kaz' favorite car, hence the inclusion of every GT-R ever made, and that's why this car is staying at the top of the pack as well. At least the Porsche has earned it's place as a meta car, although I believe it goes through tyres more quickly than the game has it.

Appreciate that, I'll look at changing the colours. I just kept it red as I normally show them as red. But what I'll do is change it to Green maybe going forward on everything?

Good Question! Porsche 911 is definitely top, Lexus is good as well. BMW Z4, Peugeot RCZ, Definitely try to learn the Genesis X though

Great stuff Tidge, it's at least 3 Baguettes for 3KG equiv - plus salad 😃 , so yeah PD have kept the Genesis in the game by reducing weight and I don't think the nerf was that significant enough, weight to power hardly changed 0.022 Re - GT Engine, so it looks like the weight decrease has had more benefit to the performance rather than the power nerf having a negative impact on performance - I think P.S. Why doesn't PD officially list BOP changes anymore ??

I don't know why they don't list them but it's extremely frustrating. I really wish they would list them as there's no reason to hide it but I log them all on video in the background so I can check. This includes downforce, suspension and everything

It's for B.o.P. (balance of power), it's a system where it is hoped that the car's within the category for the race are matched. This done through adding or taking away engine power or body weight, it may involve other things, 🤷‍♂️. Unfortunately at the moment all B.o.P.'s are equal.

Sorry if this is a dumb question, but can anyone explain why the low medium and high bop figures are identical? I just don't get it. If they're all the same why not just have one BOP figure? Why have 3 if they're all the same? 🤔

It is a good question, I've noticed that on the Low and Medium BOP the top speed is usually nerfed, whereas high speed BOP is not. The question really is, why is it that on every BOP level, the turbo cars keep the turbo but cars that use the supercharger, never get a supercharger equipped.

I think the original design in the game was to actually have different ones to bring the field closer. Unfortunately it's not used at the moment, it was even in the manual when GT7 first came out. I've not checked if it's still in there.

'Meta' is just a term used within the community to denote the preferred car for the track at that moment. That might be because it is particularly fast, has super handling or a combination of both. To discover the 'Meta' car for the week, prior to entering a race, but within that races options, go to rankings and view the top 20, whichever car appears the most often will be it.

Its classified as mid speed in game. I like to judge tracks off gr2 since they have a clear difference between handling cars and power cars. At fuji the gt500 cars are roughly even with the gt1 cars so its a deceptively balanced track. Whearas at other "mid speed" tracks like deep forest the mercedes is faster.

The weight transfer simulation in GT7 needs to chill. GT7 is too extreme with that.

I suspect originally they planned to do them but haven't for some reason 😭. It was one of the biggest complaints in the online racing community in GT Sport
