@Jairo Rodriguez link levels had potential because it’s a new sort of mode in the game but in the end people make them too long and repetitive so they’ve become unenjoyable

Yeah, it’s weird. Nintendo made the first Mario Maker for over five years ago and hasn’t used the concept on a single one of their other series. It could be that a Zelda Maker is on the table, but it’s on the development backlog because the Zelda devs are all busy on Breath of the Wild 2.

@@hyperon_ion9423 BotW would have an entirely different dev team from any potential Zelda Maker. It's a different structure and engine being used. The new Link's Awakening for the Switch has what is effectively a prototype of Zelda Maker in it called "Chamber Dungeon" where you can place whole pre-made rooms from the existing dungeons and arrange them in a simple way. Between that and the Lonk suit, they seemed to be testing the waters for a Zelda Maker.

I have found it. I backtracked through 120 videos to do so, got lost at one point and had to turn around, and then found day 55 and backtracked from there, but I found it: the first day of bonz tracking.

Haha, not a bad thought, but I think the winning counter argument is still: "Why do I need to excavate at all still?" Maybe you could decide on an optional approach for each room? You can either complete the challenge or bomb excavate through it. But the harder the challenge, the more you must excavate.

@@IRanOutOfPhrases So after I wrote that, I was thinking of exactly the kind of thing you brought up, but another counter argument twist. Why do excavation at all? Good question, maybe it should have a purpose. Like, can you set up a room with a puzzle in it, that requires the correct placement and order of three bombs? For example, (and I don’t own the game, or I’d find out myself what the strat here is) if you can place semisolids between vine blocks or vine turn blocks, then you can make it so that bomb placement choices are available, and it should be able to be deduced, with a little thought, which choice is correct. Have a reset pipe or doors, and only use that as the final puzzle room. Before that, maybe some easier one or two move mini puzzles, to show what could be done in a more complicated puzzle. All of this would have optional arrow shots while waiting, for 30s, 50s, and 10s. Then one final optional room full of blocks puzzle (upward is better for controlling which way to do the pattern, if it’s not guesswork, or pattern like with variations in block-hidden aspects), leading to truest ending, thx, and homie 1ups. But the kicker is, the first room is two choices, a path that shortly ends in a bomb-blocked pipe with an arrow, leading to the level, and a conveyor that goes under the words “speed runners and wimps only” followed by a diagonal arrow labeling the door at the end of it. That door leads to an optional shell jump for 2 1ups, which has another door leading to bottom middle ending. Those who skip that have a door for lame ending, those who don’t do the optional 5-20 (with multiple rewards within if higher than 5) bomb excavation but don’t take the wimp door get top of flagpole and four 50s, but truest ending should grant you Yoshi, THX, 1ups, coin showers, power up options, star, maybe even a nice cake after a benevolent troll. So if you find a level like that in any mode, it should make you happy, but wondering what the rest had in store. That logic applies to non-link or non-excavation levels as well. Have I amended my previous argument enough to counterspell your counterspell? Edited for paragraphs, holy crap, that was a lot more than it felt like while writing.
