Fun fact: this pilot is nearly the same width and length of the 2007-2013 Tahoe. But the pilot will ride better and be more reliable. Source: 10 years as GM technician.

Nice feature but Honda needed to add armrest if removing that middle seat and have a cover of sort/ for the exposed hook rings

I have 2021 odyssey elite. It has acoustic windows heated/ventilated seats with wifi and dvd screen for the kiddos, removable 2nd row with rail that moves chairs side to side. Idk why they don’t make suv’s with such features

@@JayAgassiI had 2022 Kia carnival and that better space than any suv or mini van in it’s segment and interior and features beats any Honda oddesy or Sienna but god damn just got the 2024 Honda Pilot touring and it’s wow…. It’s has all the space and third fits Grown adults easily… Finally a package that looks good and has space similar to a mini van… I don’t need a mini van space 24/7… This Pilot looks amazing and ridge height and features are luxurious… It’s built like a tank also… Reminds of Range Rover and Lexus gx… I am surprised because they used ultra strength steel which something luxury makers only use…

Or just fold the middle seat down and you have a arm rests, cup holder as well storage bin in the middle. The 3rd row should feel open similar to captains chair. Con: can’t walk through the middle.

Can a 2x4 sheet of plywood fit flat on the back area? Have a 2011 and love this feature. Won’t buy a new suv that can’t do it.

I have a 2023 Pilot and I really don't understand the point of this feature. If anyone is going to the 3rd row, the button on the 2nd row make it extremely easy for people to get back there. And you keep the extra seat or fold down for a cool armrest /cup holders

Also have a 2023 Elite and the only thing I can think of is to give the third row more leg room when needed. Also makes it really easy to access the "trunk" on road trips.

New Hondas/Acuras have the same interior and I can’t unsee it at all. Imagine paying $45k for a pilot and it’s the same as a $25k civic. Only thing that’s different is the damn materials of the seats if you buy a certain trim

That will be rarely used. Once or twice by 99.9% of owners. Owners would rather have that storage available, not taken up by a whole middle console. Its just cool, not practical really.

You realise the 2004-2010 Ford CMAX did this the same way. Just without the 3rd row of seats. You needed the grand CMAX for that.

For passenger access to the rear, if you only need more seating on rare occasions. Or, you could throw an extra-tall piece of luggage/item between the seats, or maybe a cooler. Anyway, it doesn’t hurt to have the option.
