If I may, it kind of sounds like you already know what you need to do, but I agree on praying about it. Other things to consider: If you feel overwhelmed and overworked (which it sounds you are!) now, while he’s around, how much more so when it all rests solely on your shoulders? And as someone who should also be looking out for you, he should have something in place that allows you time off to rest. This is already a bit of a flag, imo. Consider part time work if you can afford it. Even if it’s more than 1 gig. It will give diversity to your days and while working for oneself is the most ideal, even working for someone else is not so bad when you have much of your free time given back to you. When I feel stuck, I’ll watch street interviews on YT of older folk on what they regret in life and see if my “stuckness” qualifies as something they would’ve suggested I free myself from (asap!) And often it is! Often they speak of having traded time/experience/forgone memories for money realizing money can be made again and elsewhere but some things, like youth/vigor/time, once gone, are gone forever and care should be taken to use those things well.) And lastly, while noble to not want to let someone down, though a little dark, consider if you passed tomorrow, your boss would have to (and would) _figure something out._ As a business owner, as a human, he’d have to have a plan. Let that knowledge free you from feeling bound. Employees come and go be it by death or resignation-it’s not their responsibility to shoulder the weight of their exit. Go graciously as you can of course, but when it’s time... *do go.* Best to you and will be praying for clarity💛

You have a lot on your plate. I know exactly what you are going through. I went through this a long time ago. I know you have a lot spinning around in your head but don't leave your job right now. Hang in there. You are truly needed and it won't interfere with your dreams for long. I think your boss needs to have a sit down talk with you and his family and decide what to do when he retires. For what it’s worth, here’s my 2 cents… The first step in making your dreams come true, is probably to form a clear idea of what your dream life would look like. What would you be doing? Where would you be doing it? Who would you be doing it with? And if you’re truly passionate doing that activity, you’re going to get better and better at doing it over time. And sooner or later, you’ll be so good at doing it, that people will be willing to pay for it - to buy you art, to learn how to do what you do, to listen to your messages, or somehow benefit from your endeavour. The passion should come first, so you love what you do every day, and the money will follow. The other thought that occurred, is that you’ve got nearly 10K subscribers on KZfaq. That is a heck of an achievement. That’s an audience, customers, friends, people to network with, right there, waiting for you to engage with them. That has value, that counts, and is really difficult to achieve, yet you’ve already achieved it. So you must be pretty good at something - at communicating, and sharing a message that people value. Maybe that’s a clue to your passion. Or at least a way to share your passion. Not sure if that’s helpful, but I hope so :)
