When a person leaves someone else, it's most likely another person in the picture, or they want another person in the picture. They just come up with a lot of excuse to justify it.

Completely agree about the rebound. The sooner it happens, the more time they spend together, the faster it moves, the quicker the honeymoon period is over and the power struggle stage begins. Microwaves can heat up a chicken but they cannot roast it to perfection.

I understand the forgive part - but sometimes its a shock especially when its been a long term relationship of 10 yrs + then out of the blue she calls it a day without any explanations. I strongly disagree with the (lets kiss and make up) I've forgive you thing. When your a mature person and did nothing wrong i'm afraid you do have questions and need answers otherwise at the next bicker they run for the door again and you're back to square one. No one can help you repair your relationship, not even yourself if you have no idea what was wrong the first time you split.

Hello - no disrespect is here intended. I'm the Dumpee and have learned that when women "check out," it's not because they "just decided." They have been deciding for days, weeks, months, etc. As men, we perceive there is nothing wrong, but the women have probably been trying to tell us for a while. We don't hear or understand them. The "disagreements" end, and we believe the issues are resolved. They're not. The women lose romantic emotional attraction during all that time so that what comes as a shock to us is our own fault in most instances, simply because we were not paying attention to our partners' needs and pleas. Complacency kills our relationships, gentlemen. I miss my lady, but she is gone forever...its been too long, and I made every mistake a man could make after breakup.
