It is kind of sad. I don't like or respect Schaub as a comedian, but damn. I can relate a lot to trying so hard to become part of an artistic community, to be excited about being part of something, but because I was a raging drunk, always being the embarrassing one, I ultimately drove everyone away. I no longer feel like a victim of abandonment and have been working on my shit, but it is still so lonely. Goddamn I am so glad my plight in life hasn't been recorded and critiqued by hordes of equally miserable strangers

I hear you. The worst of my alcoholism happened years ago before everyone was capturing things, ring cameras etc. Even as a random who never delved too deep into any artistic avenues, imagine having just one embarrassing video of you in that state being passed around on every social media platform. Schaub has a library full of them that he can't escape. I feel bad as I don't think he's a bad person at heart. I think he's an idiot with an ego issue. His constant need for attention and wanting to be one of the comedy boys blinds him and ruins every opportunity he gets. Sorry a bit sleep deprived, so ranting but it resonated with me as well. We our own worst enemies.

This was f***ing incredible. 10/10 video. As someone who was a huge fan of The Fighter and the Kid for many years, to now being completely against Brendan, it’s surreal to see it all laid out in a video like this. I’m constantly teetering back and forth between feeling sad for him and then remembering that he is a bully that stomped on people the moment he got to the top. And now he’s on the slow slide back down and he wants people to feel bad for him. I’ve known people like this in real life and when they turn on you at the very moment they become successful, you pray for some justice in the universe. But I always feel bad to see them fall even though they deserve it. I’m subscribing now

The amazing duality of Roe Jogan on full display in the person of Schaub. His whole philosophy on hacks and joke thieves is informed by Bill Hicks, but if he were still alive I can imagine a 40 minute bit eviscerating Schaub and the rubes who put him on his pedestal.

Honestly, As a person who was originally a big fan of fighter and the kid many years ago and genuinely enjoyed Brendan’s contribution to shows, to gradually not finding it as funny when Brendan started all his spinoff content(food truck, kind and the sting) to eventually just being completely disappointed with them after the whole Bobby Lee blowout. I can honestly say that this man’s self inflicted downfall has been legendary. Ironically many of us were actually fans in the beginning but over time he’s lost the respect of the majority of his audience🤦🏻♂️
