I hope you guys are staying safe and healthy out there!
Pigroach surprisingly didn't struggle much in the regular stages, so I didn't have much to work with there. Thus, a good chunk of the footage is from the Wily levels. If you think of this as a redemption run of the first 3 Mega Man games, then at the very least, he actually did do better than his original playthroughs for a change.

57:34 man I hate to play devil's advocate for DSP, while it's not wrong that Megaman 2 is the easier ones, the Wily Wars version has only 1 difficulty and is what we got as Hard Mode in the west for the NES version. We got normal mode in addition because obv Megaman 1 was hard as hell and they wanted more people to play 2. I'm a pretty seasoned player and hard mode is a serious challenge.

"Normal" Mode on Mega Man 2 isn't all that bad, but then I've been playing MM2 since it was a new release on the NES. You wanna make it extra fun throw in silly challenges. Like... Buster Only - Alphabetical Boss Order or Reverse Boss Order.

I'm surprised that none of his paypigs have given him a copy of the classic or X Legacy collections yet. He hasn't played 7 or 8 from either series, and he could probably do a redemption run of X3 and X6 to make up for rage quitting in the original playthroughs.

@@DONK8008 Small problem with your theory there; the X Legacy Collection doesn't have save states! They do have a Rookie Hunter mode, though! But it IS weird that he never even acknowledged its existence. So much for the "King of Retro"! -_-

Credit where it's due the game blaming is pretty low for BrightVerticalPhillipe standards, especially given that Wily Wars can actually be clunky as shit. Like he was still a bitch but y'know in moderation

Got to laugh at how the self-proclaimed "King of Retro" constantly claims that MM2 is the hardest in series, when it is probably one of the easiest NES games out there. Everyone and their mother has played this game, and they all know it like the back of their hand. This is why I get a good laugh when he brags about not using a safe state when he beats the game. He didn't even have to put up with the slippy controls that the orignal MM1 and MM2 had, because he played the Wily Wars version. Sorry, but I can't help but find it hysterical that he still had a rough time playing a nerfed version of MM2. I would actually get a good laugh seeing him play MM9, since that game is a bitch to beat on the first playthrough.

I remember when i was around 10 i played a NES emulator on my phone and i was able to Get to the 3rd castle stage.
