This small jackfruit call cempedak here in Indonesia. Has different teste, smell and texture. It testes sweeter, smells stronger and it flesh way smoother and juicier than the big jackfruit. There’re 2 variants, white and orange flesh cempedak. And he’s right, this fruit is one of the sweetest fruit I’ve ever taste. For those who said the big jackfruit has better aroma, you’re right coz this fruit has really strong aroma second only to durian for me. I mean by strong is not bcoz its smells bad, but bcoz you can smell them from long distance and when you touch it flesh, it will stick on you just like durian.

If you search for recipes on KZfaq, most of the results are from south Asians. A lot of the dishes are savory and made with unripe fruits, or savory dishes featuring the seeds, which are kinda like potato when cooked. Personally I'm all about the ripe part the guy is eating.

This is a relative to Jackfruit and it's called cempedak here in Malaysia. It's much sweeter and stickier The fruit's almost as sweet as honey. I love eating it as frittered cempedak because you can avoid its stickiness as its covered by fritter and the slighly salty and crunchy fritter complements the super sweet and fibrous and soft flesh so well. Love the fruit!!! Also I think it is one of the more expensive fruits out there since so many people love it and you can't always find people selling it even at night market and they're usually available only in limited quantities.

Actually it is not jackfruit or chakka. It is called chempedak and is found in SE Asia. Best to eat it fried. Unlike chakka, the young chempedak cannot be cooked.

We have a jackfruit tree in our house. One of the best snack every summer. Note: When you eat this, you can easily remove the seed then eat it. ❤️

You can eat raw also. When it's not ripe. Eat with lemon juice mixed with fresh chillie. Yum yum.

This is cempedak not a jackfruit. Look similar but taste different. Jackfruit normally bigger than cempedak.
