When I was young, 50 years ago, these women "who wanted husbands" were said to "want a meal ticket." This problem recurres generation after generation. Men are accused of objectification, but really, it's these women who objectify themselves and men.

@user-nu8in3ey8c
@user-nu8in3ey8c Ай бұрын
In the old days marriages were arranged between families, often someone with money would marry their daughter to someone with a high social class. In old Europe those two things did not necessarily go in hand. Think of The Corpse Bride where the marriage was arranged between a bankrupt aristocratic family's daughter and the son of a fish merchant family with money but no social class. A fictional example, but somewhat historically accurate. Marriage based on money also happened. Think of Fiddler on the Roof and its comical treatment of "TRADITION!!!!" The only problem is now the women want to take of all the money and labor, and then leave. The man gets nothing, since she wants to be entitled and strong and independent, yet she wants to take of the husband and give nothing. In the past the husband may have had to give money and labor but the wife was expected to be appreciative of her husband.

I'm turning 40 in a month. Been single for the past 8 years. Haven't had one relationship since. I'm just minding my own business (literally). As a male you want to start a family and have a wife and kids that love you and rely on you. I don't see that happening for me because women have changed their mindset quite a bit in the past 20 years. I don't see myself being compatible with anyone but then again I'm not actively looking for someone either. I guess you can say I enjoy my peace of mind.

12:40 This woman at the end is amazing. I think that's what most men want, someone who will stand by you and make the relationship more important, while you do the same. I remember when my Ex bailed, we had 3 kids, and she had a daughter from a previous relationship... She just moved out, leaving me to work full time, and take care of 4 kids! She simply said, "Now you can see what it's like to have to take care of kids all day!" Yeah, I actually loved it. The youngest was 2, the oldest 6. We had a lot of fun together. She missed out!

Both statements mean the same thing because they both have a hidden meaning. Simply put they are saying they want to experience the "right of passage" that marriage holds in society, and they have decided now is the right time because they want to have children before it's too late. Once they obtain both of these things from a man his value to her decreases significantly. Typically she will keep him around for 10-15 years so he can help her raise the kids but after they are in their mid teens you are on borrowed time. If you are still useful to her as a handyman or as an emotional support you may be kept but if you piss her off in any way you are going to get served with divorce.

Had a friend of mine marry a woman that thought like the young black woman that basically wanted a mechanic/bodyguard/servant. First time he asked her to make him a sandwich while he was mowing the lawn, trimming trees she refused. He took the time to explain that he didnt care specifically abou the sandwich, but that it was about equal effort. He was doing harder work for hours, so she could at least contribute support by ensuring he had the energy to continue. The sandwich was a "tool" she was handing him to help. It was her effort to help mow the lawn. She got it......for a while. The next time, he was building a bed for her, from scratch. He asked her to go to the store for glue and screws one day when he had to stay late at work, sent her a picture via text of EXACTLY what he wanted and which aisles they were in at the local hardware store. She didnt go because it was "too intimidating." When he got home he dismantled the bed to the point he had gotten it to and said since he had never built a bed before, finishing it would be "too intimidating." Again, she got it for a while. The last time, after doing a ton of work on her car and again asking her to do something dor him, she explained she was too busy with "her show." He finished the work, but then went in to have a conversation about contributing. He asked why they were married and what she thought she was contributing (they had no kids yet). Her answer was intimacy, loyalty, and good looks. He went into his office and wrote up bills for a weeks worth of mechanical work, yardwork, cleaning, cooking (which he did most of) carpentry work, bodyguard duties, groceries she ate, etc. , and then gave her a cheque for "escort" services for her contributions for a week plus her bit of cooking contributions. He explained that since all she contributed was intimacy, loyalty, and good looks, he was going to fire her and simply hire an escort since the transactional balance favored her so much, and she financially could not afford him and his time while he could easily afford hers, yet could live far cheaper and with fewer headaches without her. She sat stunned while he went and got her bags and told her to pack and get out. While he may have embelished a little bit, I've known the man for decades and trust that whrn he described these events to me, he wasn't embelishing. The actions he described also fit his nature, and knowing her for years, her actions described also fit her. Its a shame that feminism seems to have taught women that everything is transactional and they deserve the best while contributing nothing, that men are just servants. I feel sorry for any young man looking for a PARTNER in his life, someone that contributes as much as he does, because society hasn't taught women to do that. They want to be wives, but as you said, they think that is the final outcome and that they've made it and will now be treated like queens. I wouldn't want to be looking for a wife nowadays and fear for my son's future.

I don't know. He should have vetted her better. Well at least they don't have kids so he can walk away. Plus if you have to "explain" why you need a sandwich... IDK just sounds like a loosing proposition. Especially if she "gets it" then just as easily forgets it.

The only marriages I can think of where there's sacrifice and compromise and equal effort to build a life together are in elderly couples and most middle aged ones. Younger than that and it's clear that the woman regards doing any small domestic tasks as being slavery and something she has to watch she doesn't do too much of. There are several stories of women being awarded back pay by a judge for 'unpaid' housework during a marriage, and of course the XX clap along like seals to it.

After my last girlfriend turned into a disaster and ended, I asked myself a very simple question, what am I doing wrong? I asked myself also what do I need in a woman? What characteristics must she have in order for it to last? It took maybe a year, but I came up with four characteristics that don’t just work for me, will work for everyone. It will work for women. It will work for men and they must have all of them. There is no compromise or you will fail. Those characteristics are: patience, understanding, steadfastness, and warmth. These four characteristics might sound similar and they may overlap, but they are very distinct. I looked back on every relationship I’ve ever had and every woman I have been with and realized all of them lacked all of these characteristics. You must have patience because everyone makes mistakes and no one is perfect. Understanding, because much like patience everyone makes mistakes, and you must be willing to carry forward. Steadfastness, because much like the marriage vows you must be commited to being there through thick and thin. And warmth, because everyone needs someone to lean on, like that song. Everyone needs a shoulder to cry on. No one wants to be dealt with harshly when they stumble or fall. You definitely do not want to be left behind. Do not ask me what about this or what about that. Obviously things like loyalty and all of that must be there but if you have these characteristics, those things almost go without saying. And I’m telling you I’m 50 years old and I was married for 20 years. I’ve been in many relationships with all sorts of diverse women and I’m telling you I don’t care what you say You cannot compromise on this. The next person that you may try to get involved with if they do not have these characteristics you are better off on your own. It will not work, PERIOD!

You will have to fight off Indians, deal with bears and wolves, help plow the fields, raise the children, and work your butt off. You will also need to slop the hogs, when I pull together the weans to get some. You should be willing to chop firewood. Women be like "I want a man that is already rich to pamper me and give me lots of money to spend on lavish shopping trips and vacations. My primary job will be keeping myself attractive, external affairs, and nagging for more money."

That's why in video games, if you play on hardest difficulty, you are respected. But if you play on easy difficultly, you are a filthy casual. When you overcome challenges, you feel rightfully rewarded.

I have a friend who only plays with the best possible team in Madden, while I get random teams about 10 points worse. I only win 1 out of every 5 matchups, but just the fact that half of them are as close as they are speaks volumes about his lack of skill

it's good to relax here and there, but yeah if you want respect, it needs to be earned, by working hard and putting yourself to the test. If you never stretch yourself you tend to have no accomplishments and little to no growth. You can't really get around having to work to achieve your dreams, that's the process. At least that's how it is for men. Women can be gifted success, but that also depends on s1mps or gullible / weak men offering it all with no expectations or standards. We need to call women back to accountability and to pushing themselves, society makes it very much harder for women to have to / be compelled to make something of themselves. but, not all men want that. Many would be just fine providing, if she lives as a trad wife and a support, and does a good job of raising supporting kids and fam. Problem is too many women (and some men) have been brainwashed by w dl f ideolofies and are weak, being man and masculinity hating, country hating, and seek to become the best victim they can be and cast off all responsibility on anyone but themselves. Hopefully they change and wake up, so their life gets better. Till then, you can focus on you, and leveling up

"if you play on hardest difficulty, you are respected." I really hate these games that let you lower the difficulty. In those games, unlike a FromSoftware game, you get so tempted to turn the difficulty down when you start having trouble with a boss. I think that might be a good metaphor for how social media and dating apps have affected relationships for the worse.

You're exactly right. I figured out a bit late, that as a husband, I was like "an employee". I've been happily single for over 40 years and loving it. Possibly, some of these lovely ladies could benefit from some counseling and learn that a good man is a life partner, to be honored and respected. If they could learn that, they might be able to be married and stay married And, where are the pastors who should be teaching and counseling along these lines and looking for these wrong thinking attitudes? I don't see them out there. =PC=
