Here's a snippet of Thomas Myers from Anatomy Trains explaining human movement in integrated terms. It's great to see people starting to embrace the concept of the body operating as one system. Tune in this Wednesday for a deeper explanation on this fascinating topic!

What I don’t understand is why you discount the fascia of the eyes. When is the exact same thing, if you train your eyes to bounce from close-up to further away at a medium far away back to very close to medium close then they they stay bouncy of course. Try it for yourself.

I have been experimenting with this too, alongside eye strengthening exercises. I wore the same glasses prescription for 20 years and then suddenly post covid my prescription changed. I'm due for another exam in the spring and I suspect there will be another change so I'm doing what I can to try and help.

He really does! Especially how the inflection of his voice resembles when the Joker was explaining the difference between something happening as part of the plan vs something that wasn't in the plan.

He has a way of speaking that really reminds me of Robert Sapolsky. Wonderful. P. S. so it sounds then like Christopher Sommer may have been relaying to adults the 'safer' albeit less potent aspects of gymnastic conditioning to adult humans (to the extent that those adults' programmes in which he simplified the approach and reduced emphasis on skilled movement are much less about 'neuro-myofascial ballistics' compared to the original gymnastics from which they've been extracted)

During the last 3 years I healed my scolioses (10 cm hight difference at the shoulders) by going for long walks in barefooters. Since then, I know this fascia system quite well. There are no cross connections between the body-halfs.

I wonder which avenue of Kinesiology is referred to here? Most certainly, the master mind work of Hugo Tobar's Neuroenergetic Kinesiology at NK Institute (based in Australia and taught Internationally) is holistic, incorporating physiological-psychological-biochemical- spiritual body work. Hugo has even written structural, holographic formatting texts referring to your Meridian Fascial Matrixes. I'd love to have you guest with Hugo and witness the two of you in person lecturing holistic structural-emotional-spiritual stress management therapy.

Hmm. Chiropractic is nothing to do with "banging bones back into place" it's to do with correcting or improving dysfunctional spinal segmental movement and as a result the neurological/proprioceptive feedback so that the sensorimotor cortex interprets that information more appropriately. Look at the research being released from Dr Haavik. Bit disappointed by this lack of understanding of how manipulation works - was hoping to learn more about anatomy trains...

Great stuff, yes. But a bit embellished with some points equally exaggerated. Though I never embodied it till 10 years into my Rolfing/Movment career, the term "feel the weight" was around during My compressing body building days. This felt sense of integrated movement is the Red Pill. Looking forward to videos that dive into it. Thanx Tom

... we wish it were that simple, but it sure closes on reality and not on superstitions... and the ultimate myofascial sculpting can only happen after age 55 with "self rehabituation" in order to practice SELF redisigning alineation and practicing movement with this change and fostering continuous development of the biomechanical organ as a whole...

As he said everything is changing in 5 years. Now fascia is the big thing, everything is sold as 'functional' and fascia related..., but I wonder where will these be in 5-10 years later? :) Meyers is obsessed with his ideology, he has given us a lot about this tissue and how much more it is than a wrapping, but maybe he has lost it by his obsession?

Why should the EYES be any different than the rest of the body connection, and fascia? If you don't move your eye Fascia... (exercise), they get dry, lack circulation, and hence ...contracts. Very Chinese medicine.

“ Medical doctors” lobby too strongly to not let Manual therapy (Physical therapy, massage, acupressure, chiropractic) gain any significance. It’s saddening that patients trust their “doctor” too far enough to distinguish the harmful effects of addictive pain medication/injections and often (not required) surgery vs conservative therapy. Most (>80%) patients can recover from neuromyofascial pain through Manual therapy. The model of primary care physician to pain management physician to a surgeon is often used in western countries and patients never get what they actually deserve.
