So, going back to today’s long hair topic, we’re going to be asking a bunch of random people what they think about guys having long hair… Right from my office lol...
When I initially had this idea, I was planning to go out in the streets of Brisbane CBD and approach people in real life…
You know, like IRL (What even is real life anymore?)
But then the C word happened and now here we are confined to 4 walls & spending excessive amounts of money online on overpriced hair products and funky shirts that at least make me feel better in the short term…

No just kidding... at least about being confined to 4 walls anyway.
The state I live in here in Australia is actually pretty tame when it comes to covid so people are going about their day to day so I could go out in public and ask people what people think
but the virus is still kicking around and I feel like although the chances of me contributing to the spread are slim, it’s probably more responsible for me to not go out & just prank call random phone numbers from my office instead.
so…. Yeah.
That’s the option we are going with today.
Also, the reason I wanted to make this video was
1. I’m just curious to hear what other people have to say particularly when they aren’t behind a keyboard.
2. I actually feel like the response is going to be quite positive because if I’m honest, I haven’t had a long hair hate comment in a REALLY long time now. It’s actually bizarre because they used to come in all the time but I feel like it’s just a widely accepted thing now & I love that.
3. I just thought it might also be a bit entertaining and give me that little rush of “Ohhhh I wonder what’s gunna happen!”
So yeah I think we should get calling.

I am growing my hair almost a year now. Most of the feedbacks I received were positive except from my parents because to them I look like an addict. I can't blame my parents and others about it since we are here in Philippines and long hair men has a negative interpretation here. However, I still don't care because My Hair, My Rule.

I noticed a simple observation between cutting my hair and growing it out. I used to cut my hair to look good for girls, but guys would compliment my haircut but never heard anything from girls. I grew my hair out for the first time of my life in my adult years and now I get complimented by girls more than guys!!! Should've done this from the get go 🤣

Fucking finally thought I was the only one that noticed stuff was not adding up lol - though I will say there is hate from girls who have no hair or coily / kinky hair like "what did I do?". Hell was even about to cut 12 inch off for someone to make a wig out of but that's the last time I consider that for someone ungrateful

After growing out my hair I have received so many more compliments from everyone over my hair. I’m also from the farming state of Kansas, (there’s a lot more people with long hair in rural places than people believe)

Don't mock its true, long hair isn't a stereotypical liberal or hippie or metalhead. Its a lifestyle, you got it or you don't, I recommend everyone try it atleast once and make your own decision to keep it.

I have long hair but here in Sweden no one has really negatively commented it. Some in my class may have joked about it but no hate really. I also like rock music but that's not why I grew it out, but sometimes I feel like I need to keep it long for the rock image and reminder😂. And also R.I.P. Eddie Van Halen he used to have long hair and is my biggest inspiration for playing guitar.

What a great video! I find it funny, that long hair on men is such a big topic for some people. I live in Berlin (Germany), and honestly haven't had one single negative comment concerning my hair. I guess, it really does depend on where you live. Also I think, that having confidence and inner peace with other people's opinions is the most important thing. People can sense insecurities.

I was growing my hair a while ago. Got my hair nearly down to my lip . But getting a lot of stick for it then I shaved it all off then regretted it. So now I'm growing again n not going take notice what anyone says. But Its only been 2 months so got long way to go. Sometimes people can be negative n sometimes it can get to you what people say, but you got get a tough skin I suppose. Your hair Thomas seems to have had a spurt on. i remember few years ago doing dutch braids and most all people say just looks odd (yes for whites its hard to pull off) and basically everyone hinting to quit doing it ,,,,,,,,,, got into the tattoo scene over last few years and now have arms hands neck and few face tattoos and decided to try the dutch braids again , and now nobody really says anything negative , kind of either really likes it or just goes along , for braids to work i think it's got to be a whole persona look you're going for to pull it off

grew my hair out shoulder length and people do not hesitate at all to tell me how much they hate it and how i need to cut it. over half of the comments about my hair have been negative but f it it's comfortable and makes me confident edit: my hair has gotten quite a bit longer since my pfp

corona helped many men actually getting through the process of growing. and more men with long hair lead to bigger acceptance, because its not so uncommon anymore. i started to grow out after my vacation in february (from 3mm on the sides, 5 cm on top). 8 months in i can wear my halfbun with pride. probably 3-4 months more and ill can have a little full bun. :D

Bro, I have hair as long as you (its curly and I have some premature gray but its well taken care of cut styled etc). Don't ever cut it man, your hair rocks. Most girls may not like it but the ones that do LOVE it and tend to be "hotter". Who care about what the average bloke on the street thinks man.

I absolutely 💯 LOVE long hair on men; especially when it is well managed and thick! My husband currently has long hair and in 1 year he plans to donate it to "Wigs for Kids" for children who have lost their hair due to cancer, an auto immune disease or other ailment. I would do this but to be honest my hair is thin and frail & it is processed. My husband has gorgeous thick hair that has never been processed. I admire his decision and am so thankful to have a husband who thinks of others and wants to help kids. 💗

Once you get to a certain lenght most people don't give a shit about it. The annoying comments stopped for me about chest lenght and now i can fit in easily... still the woman mistaken thing happens so annoyingly but its ok, women are great 😅😅😅

In my case i always had undercut.When i started growing it became only like 10-15 cm,Point when it was covering half of ear,everyone was saying cut it,I was hearing it like 10 times a day.Then when it became chin length middle part,It stoped really.Just everyone understood that i rock long hair and i don’t give a fuck about their opinion.Also it was really beautiful and there was no point of saying to cut it

I'm from India. Recently started watching your videos. Trying to get myself a man bun. Only have, like a short pony up till now. Now, the thing about long hair on men in India is you'll find a lot of people up to a certain length and then the number drops significantly. I can count on my tips the number of times I've seen Indian guys with length half as yours. The reaction I get from people is kinda mixed. Some dont really comment anything on it. Some make fun of it. Some say "go do your thing". Hell even my parents throw a taunt or two at times (mostly playfully) but I think the trick is getting yourself to be immune to what people think about your hair. I mean its my hair. I can do whatever I want with it if its not hurting anyone. So I've made my peace with it. I want a bun so imma get it. Ain't nobody stopping me.

I usually have short hair, but because of lock down haven't been to the hair dressers and went in and sort of asked for a top knot/ man bun as its just long enough lol... But I always end up cutting it off in the end... Your videos may yet create another Lion

I have a bit of weight on and find when I do gain weight I don’t attract the ladies but since growing my hair it doesn’t seem to matter. I’m getting the same interest when I was thin. Maybe my short hair looked odd on a bigger bod.

i started to grow my hair around senior high school and it's around 2 years. Sounds kindda funny coz some of my classmate told me that i look good with long curly hair. But since i'm Indonesian chinese and being brought with chinese tradition, at first my fam told me to cut my hair several times coz it doesn't fit what chinese person look like, what they meant is i should be look like those "oriental" chinese and thus with the popularity of kpop, people around me told me to straighten my hair which i don't like. The stigma and the norm here it just sucks and i rarely see curly people either around here. I admit that curly hair on it's growing phase kindda awkward and my hair looks weird

hey I'm in the middle of watching this right now and your talking about ppl in the middle of the US. I live in the Midwest. Nebraska specifically. and I have long hair jist slightly shorter then yours. I do get alot of criticism about it, especially from my family whose very country. I am as well but I love my long hair and women here do tend to love my long hair. men not so much, whether it be there closed minded or jealous im not sure. just wanted to chime in here and give you a little update as to what its like here

I grew mine out for a year and a half and I miss it. Im growing it back rn (about 5 months) but i cut it due to critisizm and comments and tbh i kinda caved. I'm low key p sensitive to comments like that but now i dont really care, its funny everyone will comment on it and then be like oh why did you cut it? Its like because yall antagonize lol, morale of the story do what you want its your body and your life :)

As I cut my hair, this is what every body keep telling me. They said I look extremely cool and unique with the man bun, especially after I shaved the back. But I still look better with a short hair style.

I grew out my hair just to spite this lady who harasses me nonstop just to spite her because she cut hers and wants me to cut mine since "all boys should naturally have shorter hair then girls" after I took off my hat and she saw my hair I gave her the bird and told her "that's not the case" really made my Saturday 😁

For me one day I was like fuck it imma grow out my hair, thinking that if it didn’t look good I can just cut it off. After 21 months I’d say it turned out way better than I thought and I get tons of compliments but a lot of people call me Fabio for some reason. But if you want to grow out your hair, do it. You never know how it will turn out.

My biggest regret is cutting my hair bc of the job requirement, i had long hair but job needed it short. Now, it passed around 2 years and i left that job for new one, i started growing it again (i miss my long hair), 6 months for now, i have long way to go 😅

I'm a guy and I love long hair on guys but I won't be growing mine out, at least not right now. Mine is a complicated situation and I'll be growing my hair in probably several years when a certain family member has passed away. No point trying before that. I hope I can still pull it off by then.
