I really like you adding the parchment paper between the old tape and the book, because the tac from the old tape will regain some stickiness as it dries. Such a good plan!

I hate removing tape, but it is absolutely a necessary evil! I like the idea of putting the parchment paper under the tape, sometimes spur of the moment ideas work out the best.

Thank you James. It as also my least favorite of conservation tasks. Very unpredictable in my opinion. However, as you said, it is a necessary evil. Appreciate you watching and stay tuned.

Your like doing plastic surgery for comics. Great stuff. The tape is the most common repair in amateur restoration on old comics I think but removing it is scary because you never want to lose any of your graphics. Thank You for the video Jerry great stuff
