I really like the flavor of Spinning Wheel. Tapping for mana represents Rumpelstiltskin, spinning straw into gold, while the tap ability represents Sleeping Beauty being put to sleep when she pricked her finger

I think the ideal scenario for weapon rack is animating it into a 7/7 creature.

35:22 ish I know this is the most pedantic shit ever, but Rosethorn acolyte is kinda a pet card of mine so I feel the need to point this out: COPYING SEASONAL RITUAL ISN'T FILTERING ANOTHER MANA IT'S GAINING A FREE MANA. Casting it with lucky clover out doesn't copy the cost, it just gives you spell effect of "add a mana". It becomes an actual ritual that legitimately ramps you for a turn.

I don't think it's necessarily enough to move a grade on anything, but colorless artifacts pick up a little extra value in a set that supports mono-color limited decks like Eldraine. It's not just WU decks that want them, if I'm drafting mono black and there isn't a good black card in a pack taking an artifact is a good idea, rather than a blue card I won't use.

Weapon rack should have gotten an extra counter each time you played an equipment. That might have given it long-term power in a deck with multiple equipments. Or make it reduce equip costs by 1 (min 1) for immediate power. Probably better, but less 'cool'.

Weapon Rack is basically an inverted version of Serrated Arrows.

I think improbable alliance is at least a B- to B+ definitely not C+. It doesn’t effect the board state immediately but it does over the course of the game.

How about that "Mystic Sanctuary"? Best common land of the five? Best common in the whole set maybe??

Completely irrelevant to Limited, maybe, but I think the Kenrith siblings sharing one spark canonically kinda hurt their play-ability in this set. I think, based on their powers, they could actually be really good Planeswalkers if they were separate cards instead of limiting what they could do to one card that is a hybrid of their combined strength. Also, imagine if Weapon Rack was just a colorless Stoneforge Mystic, but you pay and tap to search, and it exiles the equipment and you had to pay a decent cost and tap to put the equipment on the battlefield.

Spyglass is strictly a silver bullet sideboard card once you've seen that your opponent has a Planeswalker or some other extremely powerful ability. It's also a decent $ value pick

I think Crashing Drawbridge would be good in Simic ramp. Defensive early game while you ramp into your big stuff and offensive later on when your big stuff can swing for massive damage.

In my opinion, you're thinking about Escape to the Wilds wrong. I feel like a common play pattern with it would be "play a fifth land, cast Escape, hit 3 spells and 2 lands, use the extra land drop to play 1 land, then next turn play the other land then then cast 2 or 3 of the spells you hit". In that case, it's felt a LOT like a 5 Mana "draw 4-5, play an extra land this turn". Given Urban Evolution only drew you 3 cards but is decent, Escape to the Wilds seems pretty great. Certainly a fantastic topdeck.

You seem to be missing the fact that Escape to the Wild allows you to play exiled lands. That means that if you exile two lands and one playable spell this is 5 mana draw 3 already. The ceiling is much higher, since you can play up to 3 exiled lands and playing 2 spells isn't that unlikely either.

Silly observation: "Food" is now a creature type... And is in green... Food Fight deck?

I think people are underrating Doom Foretold hard in limited, and don't understand the card. Look the floor here is 2WB - target player sacrifices a non-land/non-token (token is important here) permanent. That's not abjectly terrible in and of itself, although possibly overcosted for that specific effect. The ceiling here however, is quite good and even if you don't hit the perfect ceiling, there are still plenty of scenarios where this card gains value. The fact that you "can" (and have to) sacrifice Doom Foretold should be noted as not necessarily a bad thing. Being able to just play it and kill your opponents one big thing if they have a small boardstate is nice, and you don't have to go and sacrifice the rest of your board if you don't want to. Also, if you play this when the opponent doesn't have any permanents out, it reads as 2WB - target opponent loses 2 life, you draw a card, you gain 2 life, and you create a 2/2 white knight vig token, which is also a nice modality to the card. It's also worth noting that if your opponent has a bigger boardstate, it by no means makes this card "bad". As long as you construct your deck to handle the "edict per turn" better then theirs (which I'd assume you would do if you draft it), it can just completely dominate a game.

I think the big devotion hybrid cards are the singpost uncommons in this set. Plus most importantly in addition to the adamant mechanic if you go monocolor there are FOUR (4) possible hybrid cards you can play I think that is a big reason to go monocolored because having access to 4 different good uncommons that most people won't pick is great

I think Oko is significantly better than a B- maybe a B+, he just comes down so early and with so much loyalty that by the time there are creatures in play that can even threaten him, you’ll have enough 3/3s to kinda not care.

Weapon Rack is a call back to Serrated Arrows, I personally like the nostalgic design even tho it's probably not that good of a card. That explains the reason why there's no equipment synergy.

Weapon Rack should've created +1/+1 equipment tokens instead of counters. Wouldn't be great but better and more flavourful.

Golden Egg definitely rates slightly higher than normal because the mana filtering also helps you trigger adamant. Between counting as an artifact AND food for other cards, fixing mana, triggering adamant, drawing cards and gaining life, it has a stupid amount of play on it for a durdly common.

Doom foretold isn't symmetrical right? Even if you cant sacrifice you still get the card and the knight.

Really confused as to why Vantress isn't at least a B- when you put Lochtwain at a B. In a deck of 40% lands, scry 2 is so close to draw 1 since it lets you ditch the lands that would be dead draws off Lochtwain. I don't think it's more than half a letter grade worse than draw 1, and spending 1 more mana on it to not lose 1-2 life each activation seems like an even trade. Each time you could've played a card with that 1 extra mana I'm sure you'll have a game where you clutch it out at 4 life where Lochtwain would have killed you by then. Not arguing with Lochtwain at B, but I do feel you're selling Vantress short.

2022 and oko is still banned, ive built 6 decks around all that glitters, lucky clover was better than it seemed. I built a pure eldraine winter adventure deck that is not strong but can still kill oppenents who arent ready for it and covetous urge is in my opinion a very good card. Its interesting to see reviews long after a set has been out and cycled out. If you only knew what the meta is getting with capenna when eldraine was coming out you would laugh! How things have changed lol.

I think your imagination with Sorcerous Spyglass is a little low. Even in limited where people aren't highly optimizing their deck and their strats are kind of haphazardly thrown around, a card that basically just says "any tap ability from a specific card is unusable" for 2 mana is pretty decent, since the card doesn't specify that it has to be a card in their hand. It's basically an inverted pacifism, except it can hit more than one card, and lasts potentially the rest of the game. Yes it will always be more useful in constructed where you can see they're playing simic and you can just name their adapt bomb, but the card is definitely worth it in any kind of deck that wants artifacts.

Castle Garrenbrig is almost completely useless. It ramps you 1 Mana and it MUST be used on creatures

Oko at B? Oko is a massive bomb that says "your opponent can't play creatures with power 3 or less" if the oko player plays a blocker on turn2 or has an empty board anyway you are hardlocked from playing almost for many turns Think about it like this you go second play turn1 land turn2 a random bear your opponent plays turn2 a 1/3 vanilla and turn3 oko and plus makes a food At this point you can't play any creatures that have power 3 or less or you just lose the game on the spot. They untap and go to turn4 with all their mana up your 3drop and their original 2drop AND THE OKO IS STILL ON THE FIELD WITH 3 LOYALITY ALREADY

One of the few times that I ever disagree with you. There is no way that I see paying 4 mana plus that land to get a 1/1token. Cant see that having value.
