YOOO the fight between Rukia and espada 9 aaroniero is one my favorite in all of bleach. If you're a true bleach fan you can feel the pain Rukia is feeling and also seeing kian shiba's face again. Truly one of the best fights in all OG bleach.

When I think bout it, it doesn't make sense that Dordoni knew about Ichigo's Hollowfication but Grimmjow and Ulquiorra did not unless Aizen purposefully hid that information from them.

@@raymondyongho5757 It's a mix of bad writing and poor choice of words. Ichigos mask has actually changed patterns over time up to the point he used his mask o Ulquiorra as well as it has been stated that Ichigos energy has been slowly becoming more and more hollow feeling. Which is why Orihime felt scared seeing Ichigo. Because his energy feels different and scares her. Ulquiorra can see the mask and the patterns might not seem like much of a change to us. But experiencing the pressure makes it feel like an entirely different thing. The writing for that moment was just too broad of a choice for the dialogue that it made a lot od people feel confused.

⁠@@SubzeroBlack68I’m not seeing the ”bad writing” in the manga dordoni says they monitored him. He specifically said “you possess a technique that gives you explosive strength by making you more like a hollow” he never mentioned a mask they also don’t specifically know what it is. Ulquiorra says “what was that that spiritual pressure that mask he’s like one of us” which implies ulquiorra knows it existed but this is his first time actually feeling it. When he came to Karakura ichigo didn’t have the hollow under control. This also shows that the hollow is getting stronger inside of ichigo.

What makes this beginning part with Rukia good is how smart aarenerio is he tried to kill her by pretending to be Kaien and catching her off guard. He did that because that is something the old Rukia would fall for. But even after that he switched it on her again and made her believe that Kaien would want her dead since she killed him. He’s using her guilt as a weapon he didn’t reveal himself after trying to kill her the first time. When Rukia says she would gladly die to him after saving Orihime that shows you that she still has that survivors guilt. Aarenerio then tries to twist that and get her to kill her friends which he then pushed his luck. But if you listen to Rukia’s words she is trying to believe in her heart that this isn’t Kaien. It’s breaking her heart that this could potentially actually be him. I guess I’m not surprised at the jokes the tone of the manga and anime is like night and day. The way the manga portrayed all of this was done in a very chilling way you feel rukia guilt and her words hit deep. The way she even thinks of dying after saving a friend almost like she’s always had this thought of being dead. Even with Kaien patting her on the head and telling her to kill her friends is a parallel to how Kaien treated as a lieutenant. But you can only truly realize that with panels.

If you look at the patterns on Ichigo's mask it keeps changing which is for a reason. In the episode 152, they dragged out the fights as in the manga, Ichigo did not take too much time fighting Dordoni. Also Yammy killed off hundreds of normal humans when they first arrived to the human world so there have been casualties.

Ichigo suffers from Shonen Protag syndrome. He will follow every cliché he can and be surprised when others don't just follow the formula. Beat and healed an enemy combatant in the middle of a war, expected them to be nice and friendly afterward. Shocked and appalled that this enemy didn't follow the cliché law of being friends after the fight. And of course he doesnt kill enemy combatants in the middle of a war because "killing's bad... m'kay?" I hate clichés

Hmm. It's been a while since I first watched The Substitute Arc and I didn't read the manga, so I don't remember if it was said that Sora and Inoue were abused by their dad. Another set of reactions, another set of the Normies completely misunderstanding something that was literally spelled out to them xD I know they're farther ahead on Patreon and probably forgot all about this already but whatever, I'll clarify it anyways for my own sanity: Ichigo decided not to use Bankai against anyone but the Espada because it would wear him out and the Espada are so strong he expects he'll need to be in peak form to fight them. Dordonii was offended that Ichigo wouldn't fight him with his full strength because that implies Dordonii isn't strong enough to force him to, and Ichigo was simply too stubborn in his thinking to relent in the matter until Nel got in harm's way and he realized he *HAS* to fight with full power in this place regardless of the foe, at which point he one-shots Dordonii effortlessly. After Dordoni "recovers" he takes a Hail Mary swing at Ichigo because why the hell not it's victory or death bitch, but he's so weakened now that Ichigo could've just put him down without bothering to hollowfy yet he hollowfies anyway out of respect for Dordonii's pride. Dordonii realizes this and decides to hold off the Exequias out of gratitude for being shown that respect, knowing he'll probably die for it.

@@stampoulisrafael5262 nah in the manga their fights aren’t drawn out so it doesn’t feel like filler their fights and role in the story has a purpose. It also establishes the world before Aizen even arrives you’re pretty much calling world building padding? It makes perfect sense that some earlier espada would be kicked out once newer more powerful ones are made. That’s called story telling.

While I do admit that 4 episodes every fortnight is a bit much, it really isn't that hard to watch the video in multple sittings. As for watching the dub, I don't get why people are still complaining 154 episodes in (on YT). This happened when the reacted to Naruto as well, and the same is happening with Blind Wave.
