I find public reactions to celebrity break-ups very odd, but Kevin hit the nail on the head when he says that people use these cases to fuel whatever their argument is, or however they feel. The reaction to the Lori/MBJ thing was strange to me because, honestly, I didn't think this was a relationship a lot of people cared about lol maybe I'm just out of touch. But I think the weirdest reaction I've seen is guys being like "so y'all really think it's okay for him to do all that stuff for her and then not marry him?! That's toxic!" Bruh, how? Not only that, but these relationships are HIGHLIGHTED on social media or by people who follow celebs around and take pics of them for a living. We literally have no idea what these people's relationships look like beyond what we see on Instagram, twitter, etc. It's almost as if people would rather someone feel obligated to marry them rather than actually have a desire to do so. It's not "I love you and I want to partner with you so let's get married" it's "I did all these grand gestures and put you on my social media and spent money on you. So you need to marry me". It's creepy. And if I'm being honest, I feel like these regular degular people are more upset about it than the actual couple in question.
