Dear Fr Warner, in today's gospel passage, Jesus is reminding us that not everyone who prays will enter the Kingdom of Heaven. While not negating the power & importance of prayer, Jesus is emphasizing that prayers are empty & false if we do not reflect the gospel in our daily lives. Prayers & good works are closely linked. This Advent is a beautiful season to make God's Kingdom a reality, remembering what true discipleship is. May we do the Father's will & bear witness to the Gospel by opening our hearts & reaching out to the poor, the sick, the outcast, the forgotten & lonely. Thank you Fr for your lovely reflection. The will of God is - “to act justly, to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God” (Micah 6:8) and - “to seek justice, correct oppression, bring justice to the fatherless, and plead the widow’s cause” (Is. 1:17} and For I was hungry, and you fed me. I was thirsty, and you gave me a drink. I was a stranger, and you invited me into your home. I was naked, and you gave me clothing. I was sick, and you cared for me. I was in prison, and you visited me.’ (Mt. 25:31-46)

Very frightful to realise that when we see God he will say I do not know you. Our behaviour shows if Jesus is with us or not

Big message here 🙁Course correction .our actions have to imitate our prayer 🙏not our spare tyre ,but steering wheel ⚙️calling us to do BOTH,prayer &actions🙏 the WILL of God !!! Not all who display on their DP's are of the type mentioned as abhorrent. wearing ur faith on ur sleeve all the time with a motive to evangelise is not something everyone has the inclination for . and when God knows ur heart and ur motives not even a general statement that all are such is correct. But your intent to preach the message is always right ,Fr and so for those who get that 🙌
