Yes loved this!! I've only read 6 of her books but all of them were ranked in your top tier! My favorite is probably Haunting of Leigh Harker.

The Carrow Haunt was a good one, definitely one I’d recommend to everyone! Ooh I’ll be interested in your opinion on Leigh Harker, it’s very different!

I think you are right on with your ratings. I love Darcy's work and she is the author that introduced me to ghost/horror genre. I have read so many rhat i have forgotten which ones she has written. Im looking forward to readcher latest work.

LOVE the Darcy Coates I’ve read so far!! I’ve read the Carrow Haunt, the House of Shadows duology and the Black winter series. I was wondering do any of her other stories have romance mixed in? Even if it’s small, I really love slight romance added to horror for some reason lol 🤷🏻‍♀️

She’s awesome!! She doesn’t have romance in every single one, but it does pop up here and there!! I would recommend The Whispering Dead, it’s the first book in the Gravekeeper series and there’s definitely a little romance in that one! 🥰

I have read it! This video is from January so it’s missing her new ones from this year. I liked it, I would probably put it in the 2nd tier. It wasn’t perfect to me, but it was still a solid read!

They’re all individual novels, so they’re not connected. Except her two series The Gravekeeper Series and The Black Winter series.

The long awaited Darcy Coates video! I agree with most of your rankings. All the haunted house books would have been up higher for me because that is my favorite thing in books. EXCEPT Rookward!!! Because Guy was such a douche.

I love haunted house stories too, but I feel like some of them weren’t as good as others? Maybe I’m just too picky. 😂😭 Guy was the worst, I will never get over it.

I read parasite and I loved it. She writes kind of accessibly. Kind of a teen book feel. But still very visual

Her stuff is definitely cozy horror, it’s easy reading! I personally don’t really equate it to more YA stuff, but I know others feel that way!

She has great setups and atmosphere, but she tends to overwhelm her endings with info dumps. Ashburn House would have been far better without the stupid letter explaining everything at the end and Hunted was awesome until the big reveal turned into a "Why I Suck" speech by the newly-revealed antagonist.
