I doubt United get Branthwaite. It's his first break out season and he's only 21 so I wouldnt be suprised if Everton feel they can get even more for him next season. Also Ineos will probably be much more stubborn with transfer amounts because they need to fix Uniteds reputation in the transfer window. Because of these factors I feel a middle ground is harder to reach.

But you know who does make sense? De Ligt. 3 years older, much more proven, and is likely to work well within the system as he’s already acquainted with Ten Hag and being alongside Martinez. He’s also a CB who can strive in systems that build from the back, which is the club direction INEOS wants United to go in as well. Considering how unhappy he is at Bayern, it makes it a bit rougher on them when it comes to negotiations.

Arsenal need to only sign players that relegate current 1st team players to the bench. If we focus on signings like Rice (game changer) and Timber, who (injury notwithstanding) is there to push Zinchenko to the bench rather than players like Tomiyasu (we love you Tommy) who are there to add depth, then we'll stand a real chance of winning big trophies

zubimendi as an example at this point is a bit redundant considering it seems he’s set on staying in spain. some analysis on other big names or even just a bit deeper of a dig would’ve been nice. options like de jong, guimaraes are also out there and spoken of often; onana is a decent one but much like gomes barely got a mention.

They DO have club specific podcasts for every Premier League team. Obviously for general videos, they are likely to focus on bigger clubs because they have a bigger fan base and their news are just more "breaking". Check out their team specific podcasts if you want focus for a particular team, their main podcast also covers a variety of topics, but it's more skewed towards the big teams for obvious reasons.

It's true United has Martinez and "options" to play on the left, but Martinez has been injury prone since he's been here, and our "options" suck. None of them are good players except for Shaw, who is naturally a fullback, and he also is injury prone. And he's also our only naturally left-footed LB aside from Malacia, who also has been out due to injury this whole season. That's why United is looking for another Lefty LCB

Branthwaite is not a top level passer of the ball (84%). He tends to shield the ball with his body and use his left to pass. He's a good physical defender, but his technical skills are lacking. I hope Man Utd buy him.

That graphic did NOT show how ambipedal players are, it showed the proportion of their touches taken with each foot - that is NOT the same thing. This is literally the problem with stat merchants in a nutshell ffs. All that data shows is how many times a player used a given foot over the given sample, from which we can INFER how willing they are to use that foot. That's it. It doesn't give any indication of how comfortable or natural they feel with either foot or what they are actually able to do with it - is a player who takes an equal number of touches with each foot, but has more poor touches with one of them, more ambipedal than a player who takes significantly fewer touches with one foot, but those touches are equally as successful as with the other foot? No. You cannot represent complex, real world scenarios with a number. Full stop. Numbers are just a representation of what has happened. You need multiple numbers in collective for an accurate INFERENCE (because all we can do is infer). Weak.

Branthwaite is a poor Jacob Greaves, who is the best centre back this country has produced for 20 years. If west ham sign Greaves for £15m and Man U sign Branthwaite for £60m+, then West Ham have won this window already.
