Tigers have extremely strong forelimbs. They may not be able to bite through a skull as easily as a jaguar can but they can shatter it with one blow from their powerful front legs. Tigers can kill cows this way. And in a recent case, which I believe is mentioned on another video on this channel, a tiger killed a lion in a zoo in a similar way.

The Jaguar is better at maintaining it’s balance & getting back up quickly, it has longer lasting energy, they are more stocky & robust & they can fight by striking their paws but they can also wrestle & let’s not forget the fact that they have the strongest bite force of any big cat, they have been known to bite through turtle shells, bite through the caimans scales and trough their skulls and can bite through giant armadillo.

@Robert Suarez- None of that matters. The tiger’s much much larger which gives it an overall physical advantage. Tigers also tend to hunt bigger animals than jaguars.

@@TejanoG Jaguars kill animals by crushing their skulls and are also 100klg. tigers hunt by going for the neck of soft underbellies tiger can fight off their back legs and also swipe at the neck with paws and Kick with there back legs like cats tigers also get up to 300klg and have been know to kill lions by ripping its stomach open when it had it pinned and another story about a tiger cutting the throat of a lion with its claws though a cage if the Jaguar gets the drip and a tiger yeah but if a soon as the tiger get a hold of the Jaguar it’s fu€ked ot has a stronger jaw but aren’t more powerfulthen a tiger

Yo, I never said the Jaguar would win, I’m just typing fun facts no one is taking in consideration & cause I feel that the Jaguar doesn’t get much respect, you have to respect both species, they are both strong, beautiful & intelligent, I just feel that the Jaguar isn’t getting the rep it deserves so I’m just typing cool stuff about them to see if other people also find Jaguars cool and maybe also take them in consideration.

It's actually very possible that both animals would die from having done battle. Infections resulting from wounds could very easily end up killing the "winner". If their ranges did overlap, they likely would seldom fight each other, much like the Jaguar and Mountain Lion in South America.

@@obanojoseph6747 A hyena has a much stronger bite force than a male lion yet it has zero chance of killing a male lion. Bite force doesn't win fights especially against a much larger opponent. The jaguar would be an easy kill for a female tiger. You would agree if you saw them standing next to each other because they're not close in size.

Jaguar: great at sprinting, climbing, swimming. Can kill anything that can fit in its mouth in seconds. The deadliest big cat. Tiger: sheer size and power, unrivaled combat capabilities. Can take down the largest herbivores. The most feared big cat.

@Hvhyy Ifjj stop spreading misinformation ,Siberian tigers have gotten bigger over the years even a tiger scientists has said that in the summer Bengal tigers and Amur tigers are are around the same weight and you would probably won't see the difference, but in the winter Siberian tigers are undoubtedly bigger.😕😐😄

Jaguars are the perfect killers, fast, agile and stealthy, with a tremendous bite force. Their only drawback against some apex predators on Earth (tigers, polar bears, lions...) is the size. If the size was the same, I find it hard to imagine any animal winning over a jaguar in a battle.

250 kgs tigers are not very common in the wild.Actually, 225-240 kg tiger is still pretty impressive and big.

In the fight between jaguar and leopard,the animals age play a major role too. In tamil nadu of india, a 10 yr old male leopard killed a 4 yr old female adult tiger. The leopard killed the tiger due to his experience but also get injured during the fight which resulted in his death after three days. So, if a more experienced leopard meets a less experienced jaguar, the leopard is more likely to win. Also, a photograher named Hal Brindley took the photos of a leopard capturing nile crocodile. A nile crocodile is bigger than the american caiman which jaguar hunt. From these two cases, its clear that a leopard can defeat a jaguar if it wants

These two are my favorite animals, and both apex winners. Honestly, they both excel at different niches. Jaguars have the strongest bite and are the pound for pound strongest cat , While tigers are the largest and strongest cat period.

They’ve been documented fighting off multiple wolves, black bears and even grizzlies and they are vicious once they go into attack mode. Of course the jaguar would win, it outweighs and outmuscles the smaller cougar. Your dumb comment is an absolute lie and you know it. A cougar can definitely kill a jaguar (size and strength aren’t always the determining factors in a fight) but more often than not, the jaguar would win. You clearly didn’t read through my comment and interpreted it very badly.

Tigers are on average much larger and will mess up any jaguar who is foolish enought to pick a fight. They kill leopards for fun with little effort. Jaguars will be killed with a little more effort.

Tigers also have something crazy about there growl. Scientist have said that because of the frequency that they growl at does something to it’s prey that literally makes them paralyzed in fear or something along those lines. Very very interesting stuff.

A tiger is too big, too fast, and stronger with a greater reach. These are my two favorite cats, so siding with either is difficult. The jaguar’s (putative) stronger bite force is negated by the tiger’s superior attributes listed previously.

My main issue with this video is by the end of the video you took away the tiger’s main advantage- that being its size and made them the same size but then you allowed the jaguar to KEEP its main advantage- that being its superior bite force. That seems unfair to me. Taking away the tiger’s advantage but letting the jaguar keep its advantage is obviously giving the jaguar an unfair edge in the fight. Naturally if they ever crossed paths, the tiger is way bigger while the jaguar has a way stronger bite. The size advantage overall should make the tiger stronger. Size DOES matter in this. Tiger wins 9 times out of 10 🐅🐯

If the tiger jumps on its limbs to fight the jaguar can has a straight gateway to the neck, the jaguar can pin down the tiger and Pierce its skull. This overall makes the jaguar win, and i am saying this if the tigers bigger

Jaguars have the most stealth of all the large cats. If the Jaguar got the drop on a tiger and got it's jaws on the tiger's head or throat, it would be the victor.

In 1996, I decided to stop by the Baltimore Zoo, for nostalgic reasons. I walked by the cage of a massive jaguar. I'll never forget those yellow eyes staring back at me. If those bars weren't there, that big sucker would have torn me to shreds. Suffice to say, it scared the hell out of me.

It's almost insulting to suggest a 200lb jaguar would win a fight anywhere close to 40% of the time against a 400 pound killing machine like a tiger. Hard to say because Bengal Tigers weigh about 500 pounds ,but when it comes to a Siberian Tiger they are around 700 to 800 pounds.I think there has even been some 900 pound Siberian Tigers .So I guess it depends who the Jaguar is fighting .

The egos on people routing solely for the tiger… Size doesn’t matter all the time… Agility on the other hand… A slightly smaller animal with same/similar characteristics as so are the Jaguar and tiger would definitely give the Jaguar a huge advantage. Bigger tends to be slightly slower by seconds. And when it comes to a predator fight like this one where both animals are savage AF, agility and yes size depending on how the fight outcome is, plays a huge role.

Would have been more interesting with smaller subspecies of the tiger. The Bengal literally wins against any other living cat species, except for the sibirian tiger probably. The giant jaguar 10 000 years ago could win against modern tigers. Pound for pound they have the most muscle i think. And of course its bite force is exceptional.

There is a video on the internet, (dont know if it exists anymore) of a Tiger vs Jaguar, and lets just say this, the Jaguar didnt last 10 seconds, tiger instantly used its sheer size and weight and pinned it down and bit into its neck, lights out, Tiger has better combat advantages. The jaguar may have an insane bit force but that is useless when it basically has no chance of getting to use it, as the tiger will bat the jaguar away like tennis ball. It will become a fight of which animal has the balls to go in for the kill, not which animal has the advantage, In which case the tiger is usually going to as its sheer size will intimidate the jaguar. This is my honest opinion I could be wrong I'm not a zoologist. There is another video which isnt to hard to find were a Tiger and Jaguar were caged together in a Chinese zoo and the jaguar got agressive, every time the jaguar jumped up to bite the tiger the tiger would just push the jaguar back down and repeat, the jaguar couldnt get close due to the tigers long forelegs. It is a horrible and difficult video to watch but it looked like a adult man fighting a child

Jaguars are powerful cats but they have no chance against a tiger. People always like to bring up the jaguar’s bite force but hyenas have a significantly higher bite force than lions but they get ragged doll by lions all the time.

I live in Bengal at the City of Kolkata, nearly 150 KM from Sundarban, and work voluntarily for a NGO working for the conservation and protection of environment and wildlife of Sundarban. For that I have visited Sundarban and its core areas plenty of times. It is said there that the time you saw a tiger which choose to stalk, ambush and hunt you, is the moment you feel its teeth at the back of your neck. And I have seen many people fall to those jaws despite their reversely worn masks at place. These days Government and Forest Department in India make sure that everyone entering the forest with permission wear steel plate armour on their back and chest, and steel helmet with extension covering their back of the neck and shoulder. Yet, only a couple of years back, a forest official simply died because the tiger punctured his neck from the front and thrashed him so hard with a single swipe of its forward paw, that his neck just simply broke. So, it seems that these cunning predators are evolving their skills with the human protection gears as well. Nature always finds a way.

If you ever pitted a jaguar and a tiger together, they wouldn’t actually fight. The jaguar would get down on his back exposing his belly to the much larger and powerful tiger as a mark of submission and the tiger would leave him alone.
