Super middleweight contender Edgar "The Chosen One" Berlanga went the distance twice last year following 16 first-round stoppages to begin his pro career. After surgery to repair a torn biceps suffered last October against Marcelo Esteban Coceres, Berlanga (18-0, 16 KOs) will make his 2022 debut Saturday, March 19 in a 10-rounder against Steve Rolls (21-1, 12 KOs) at Hulu Theater at Madison Square Garden.
The Brooklyn-born Berlanga is ready to begin a new knockout streak against Rolls, a Canadian veteran who has a pair of knockout wins since a 2019 TKO defeat to Gennadiy Golovkin.
The Night of Young Stars - #BerlangaRolls and Xander Zayas-Quincy LaVallais - will be broadcast live on ESPN & ESPN Deportes (simulcast on ESPN+) at 10 p.m. ET/7 p.m. PT.

A banger. Bradley had the Holyfield-like ability to return fire while being semi-conscious. Unfortunately, it took years from both fighters' lives. Ruslan said it was the first time he had pissed black at the urine test after the fight, and Bradley said in an interview that he had headaches and blurred speech for a month. Provodnikov is a monster and Bradley has the heart of a lion. One of those fights you can watch over and over again.

Ruslan won, IMO, referee made a grave mistake by not counting first knockdown in the round one. Bradley was knocked out again in the final round and had to go to hospital suffering concussion and amnesia. What a tough fighter Ruslan was!🥊🥊🥊

This is one of the most intense boxing matches I ever saw. The crazy thing was, back then I had no idea who Ruslan Provodnikov even was. So I was totally caught off guard once the action started. I know who Ruslan Provodnikov is now though, that's for sure.

The only complaints people should have watching this fight should be with the commentators commentary. I’ve been watching boxing over fifty years and this is the first time the posts have surprised me more than the commentators. It’s like reality is twisted inside out.

It was necessary to catch the fleeing opponent, as Kostya Tszyu,a Provodnikov's countryman,or Tyson often did in such cases.Bradley won because he survived.

If you look at the punch stats Bradley literally threw one thousand punches, he connected far more punches and won a few more rounds, that made up for the knockdowns

Clearly Ruslan hit Bradley with two Rights which he had a clear delayed reaction to,then fell down from those hits and this old ass Ref said it was a slip but when Bradley tried to get up he falls down again..any Ref with common sense should've known he was added and should've been given a standing eight count. Ruslan won that fight period..just like Pacquiao beat Bradley..I'm sick of this BS!

I remember this classic on the edge of your seat fight, Bradley had said in the second time he was out on his feet near Bob Arum side of the ring that the last punch on the right side of his head actually woke him up and cleared him up , Probably centered his brain for my lack of a better explanation, I do remember that and awhile later his trainer Joel Diaz wouldn’t work with him as he noticed early slurring and other symptoms of that war and Bradley took time away to be very fortunate and heal to compete again ! Hey guys watch the tough Russian warrior battle Lucas Mattysee ( spelled wrong) but you’ll find it, Great war also , loved boxing since I was a kid and miss how showtime and HBO and Top Rank and USA Fight nights really had the formula down during that era , They could learn today much from it.

i see a lot of comments saying ruslan should've won..... boxings score system is by rounds. Ruslan won 1,2,6, maybe 11, and 12, that's a total of 5 rounds. Bradley won 3,4,5,7,8,9, and 10 thats a total of 7 rounds. Also bradley is the one that adjusted and ruslan didn't

Plrovodnikov, won the fight. He almost KO Bradley, a few times. Bradley never put Provodnikov in that situation. The fight was stolen from Provodnikov!!!!

The fight is scored by rounds not who almost got knocked out. You gotta be knocked out to lose, but bradely survived and won more rounds than provodnikov by outboxing him.

Always loved watching ruslan fight, yeas he fought with his face far too often,but what a tough kid and a handful for anyone, Bradley was a hell of a good fighter, but tried to out macho ruslan at times and very nearly paid the price, yes them first two rounds could well have been scored 10-8 and with the knockdown in the last, made it a paper thin fight for me

I think an unbiased view of this fight finds Provodnikov won...the hysterical part is listening to the biased commentators praise Bradley like he is Jesus Cristo of boxing UNTIL Provodnikov knocked Bradley down near the end of the first round...after that they changed their tune for the rest of the fight...Provodnikov is the star now...even Bradley's entire family left due to the beating they saw him take

Round 2 should of had a knockdown called in it to. At 24-23 seconds left in the second Russian landed a left that would have definitely sent him down if it weren't for the ropes. It's specifically stated in the rules that if you get so hard that you would have gone down but the ropes held you up it's supposed to be considered a knockdown.
