Ric Flair & Ole & Arn Anderson
vs
Buzz Sawyer, The Great Muta, Dragon Master
Note: The second time you see Sting running up to the cage, he jumps on the ring apron and smashes his knee.
Sting was out of action for the next six months. Note too that Flair attacks him after the injury. I don't think he knew what was going on with Sting yet

Agreed. Muta was freaking awesome: speed, moves, underrated strength, his "aura," everything. Just listen to the pop he got when he went up against Arn in this match....put him against a heel, and the crowd easily got behind him. I would have loved to have seen him have a championship title run.

I really think they dropped the ball not turning Muta face, he would of made a great story line ally for Sting. And the crowd wanted to cheer him, his ariel moves had never been seen in north america at this time.

I live in Corpus Christi, Texas and I went to this event. I was only 13 years old then. I've got pictures of this event but I wasn't close enough to the front to get great photos. This footage really takes me back. My dad took me. I remember all the matches like it was yesterday. Also, Cactus Jack got into a fight with the drummer of the live band that played during commercial breaks. The drummer beat him up, it was hilarious.

It's too bad Muta was on his way back to Japan after this match. Did you hear the pop for him when he entered the ring. After Sting's injury, Flair and Muta could've headlined the PPV. Instead, WCW did a quickie face turn for Lex Luger and he and Flair wrestled yet again.

Yep, I think that's pretty clear: he seemed completely fine between his first and second attempts to go up the cage, but as soon as he hits the cage the second time he stops, and once he's back on the ground he's noticeably limping. I also remember thinking, when I watched it at the time, that Flair clearly didn't know Sting was really hurt when he attacked him after the match, and you can tell that the other wrestlers are trying to keep him off Sting.
