Oh yeah! I was taught to obey and became as agreeable as I needed to. SO agreeable that I became a target for bullies and narcissists!

I am following this re-parenting series as fast as I can. I am 70 and I always knew I missed a lot during childhood, but every time I watch here I learn something else that makes me want to cry forever. Now I have to get this information to my daughter. Thank-you❣️

How precious that Christian part of this teaching Psalm 6 and the internal movement and also that the Choir Director points to the Redeemer Jesus, Son of the living God, the One of began our being, the one who is Emmanuel with us in the gut-wrenching travail, and the who ends human strife by His firm everlasting love, His blood, and the sword of the Word.

Tim thank you for your videos. I have been in counseling this last year and I have learned more in your videos in 1 month than 4 months of therapy. I understand how to change and process my emotions and shame and how to be better towards my kids.

I have hurt my child tremendously due to my own unresolved baggage. He has not spoken to me for two years. He is 17. Now do i mend our relationship if he doesn't even talk to me?

Yes. Work on yourself and improve yourself. If you are autentic, he will perhaps open to the mending.

Alot of tims videos are good but we or i got to remember were not all bad and cannot get better, no matter how many 'issues' we have. Sometimes this stuff for me comes across as negative. We or i am good exactly where i am and could change somethings of course.

Have you dealt with the shame? It sounds like the shame is running the show. If we are in shame, we cannot heal. It is a barrier to healing...as it lies and says that we are "bad" or "good" as an identity, vs that we make poor decisions at times. What we do and who we are is mixed up in shame. Then we become very defensive, resistant to change...because we feel we are being called bad, labeled bad....when that isn't the case. We can not heal until the core wound of shame is addressed, dealt with, fully and completely. Tim's series on shame are a great start.

@@lawrenceleclerc6664 our wounds distort our perspectives greatly. It changes our interpretations, of what others say...especially if we have a deep shame wound. That shame wound will make things sound shaming, when they aren't. It is the powerful distortion of shame. It keeps you imprisoned and unwilling to look inward. I haven't heard anything shaming from Tim. I can see that it can be taken that way, if shame is not addressed. He shows compassion towards the trauma that got a person to where they are. Shame keeps us from seeing/hearing compassion. Shame makes everything seem like a criticism of us, no matter if that is what's happening or not. Shame makes us hyper-defended. Shame resists healing...because one has to look at where one can change (which isn't saying a person is "bad" but needs to go in a diff ent direction to succeed). Shame wants to keep a person small. Shame is a liar. If you feel bad based on what he is saying...that means shame is driving the bus of your life. Knowing who you are, accepting yourself (flaws and all, we all have them) is the only way you can heal...and not feel pummeled but the idea that someone is putting you down. When we have inner confidence, we aren't affected by such things. Shame doesn't allow for inner confidence. We only can feel bad by what others say, if we already feel bad within. If we feel good within, love and accept ourselves...we are barely moved by what others say. Additionally, we hear other's messages more accurately...no longer warped by shame. Shame will keep you from becoming who you truly are. Shame will keep you trapped and helpless. There is no true self agency or power in shame. Please look up healing the core wound of shame. The personal development school has some stuff on it. (KZfaq) The crappy childhood fairy does too. I hope that you can hold space for yourself, shine light on the shame, become empowered and transformed in a way you never dreamed. It is possible. I have healed so, so much and am still on that path. I don't take the same things personally anymore. I feel much more at peace. I question my narratives. So many things. I wish you healing and peace💫

I don’t like Jordan. He just likes to hear himself talk. He is an emotionalist and just go off peoples emotional responses to grow his audience. He speaks a little truth mixed with a whole lot of fluff.

Tim and Jordan both helped me a lot. But it would be an inevitable political powderkeg. I don't think Tim would want that target on his back. I know it's a pity but that's the world we live in. ❤❤
