I'm like, so bad at making friends but Booktube is definitely one of the friendliest society on KZfaq honestly. Tag like "Booktube shoutout" is good because I can discover a lot of booktubers . And I sometimes forget that there are a lot of things to discuss over books even when you don't know each other ! Thank you for making this video !!! It inspires me a lot ! Hahaha

I totally agree with commenting frequently on people's video. I always notice people who are commenting frequently on my videos which leads me to check out their channels and become friends with them. :)

An alternative to swapping digits and texting is Voxer. Lets you do much the same thing without the feeling that some people might have that sharing actual numbers is still too intimate.

This was so helpful since I'm just starting out. I agree with commenting and reaching out to smaller book tubers which is what I've been trying to do. Definitely have to be out there commenting and watching other videos so other book tubers can see you too and watch your videos. Thanks for making this video!

I love your booktubing 101 series. Each of the videos helps me, even a little bit. This video in particular is great. I'm generally pretty shy, so commenting on videos is something I find difficult because I feel like I never know what to say, but knowing how generally welcoming the booktube community is makes it a bit easier. Thanks for the tips!

These were some great tips Emma! I think making booktube friends is such a fun thing to do, and I definitely agree that buddy reads is such a good way to do that! It is so much fun to finish a book at the same time as someone and then chat to them about it! And thanks for bringing to my attention those awesome collab videos. These tips were really helpful :)

This video has come at the most perfect time for me! I've been working on making booktube friends since I started my channel almost a year ago but I'm not really that great at it. I've been trying to comment more on the videos from the booktubers I watch constantly, like you, but I haven't been doing that well haha. Definitely going to continue giving it my best shot. I had no idea those tags existed, but they sound like so much fun! I love collabs and it's great to know I can do them even if I live so far from nearly everyone I know on booktube.

Loving the Language of Literacy i used to be such a lurker and never comment on other booktubers videos for no other reason than i didnt know what to say to stand out, but really, once someone starts recognizing your channel in the comments, it gets much easier from there :D i'm so glad you enjoyed it :D

I am super bad at approaching people so I haven't really ever made any friends through KZfaq, but mostly I just like leaving comments on people's videos anyways. :) I also stray from booktube sometimes in my videos so I guess that can be weird too... I haven't really decided what I'm doing yet. I just like filming and editing things.
