Many factors go into the decision to buy a house, especially with the current state of high inflation, low housing stock, high demand, high interest rates and layoffs.
After reviewing all my options (rent vs buying) and reviewing all the factors that go into buying a house, I've ultimately found that it is better for me to become a homeowner now rather than continue renting. In this video, I will walk you through the thought processes and areas to consider in order to make a decisions that's right for you! It's always most ideal to purchase when interest rates are low and/or home prices are low, but with how the only constant is that housing stock shortage is expected to last a decade or more on top of prices not slowing down, for me it is better to make the purchase now rather than wait.
In this part I will review the details and what to look out for during the first part of your home buying journey. I hope this will help provide you all with some context and insight for the first and highly crucial steps in the process.
