House Tour 2021 | Why I Rent Instead Of Buy In Seattle Right Now

Surprise! I recently gave up my high-rise apartment in Downtown Seattle for a larger home in a metropolitan suburb a few minutes out of downtown. I realized that I needed more space to have a designated office to work from home and also run my business, in addition to having more space for my plant hobby. I also came to terms that apartments or condos will never offer me the type of space or home that will allow me to cultivate all the things I want to have in my living space...so I am testing out living in different home types before determining which one I will buy later this year!
In this video I'll be sharing a bit about my home buying process and why I ultimately decided to keep renting right now instead of going back to being a home owner right away. I also share some tips for first time homebuyers and what to look out for.
Hope you guys enjoyed the video and don't forget to like, share and subscribe to see more content from my channel:

Congrats on New Place! When I saw you're in a townhouse now, it immediately made me wonder if there were things you didnt like about high-rise living? I'm in high rise now and I always thought I would love it, but with time.. I've started to feel a little "cooped up"! Also a little like I'm in a fish bowl and that people can see me..(even if the screens are down!). Plus our lobby is "manned", so every time you go through there, is like people know your "ins and outs"....lol! Anyway..But maybe you just wanted more space...so, good to see you in a different setting now! One thing I like about multiple story living, is that you have "built-in excercise" just from going up and down those stairs....lol! Congrats again🏫 🎉🎈!
@Phamever
@Phamever 3 жыл бұрын
Thank you Gabriel! :) Yeah I started to feel a bit cooped in even though I did have a balcony...I mainly felt like it was hard to host more than a couple friends for dinner and it was hard to have a garden on a balcony. I got used to people looking into my home haha, but it is nice to have more privacy now. Space was a huge factor for me since I have a business to run and I also liked to cook - I think if you don't really cook or like plants or have a need for space, a high rise would be just fine! Good point about the built-in exercise haha I definitely didn't think about it and will learn to appreciate having more floors and stairs to walk up and down on...

Thanks for checking out my content! It took me a couple home buying experiences to really master keeping an easy going mindset - it’s so easy to get stressed out, frustrated and fall into a super competitive mindset when you keep seeing bidding on everything! Especially if you’ve lost a few bids - I hope your home-buying experience will be as fun and CHILL as possible - remember that you WILL find a home so no need to kill yourself mentally in the process! 🤗😉☺️

Congrats on your new space. Love having all those bathroom and windows. Windows are a must have in Seattle since its always so gloomy there. Not a big fan of those long stairs but you are young, lol I applaud you for taking care of all those plants, they are beautiful.

I totally agree! I need the light a lot myself lol the stairs are definitely not bad during the day, it’s mainly in the evenings when I have to haul my lazy butt upstairs to bed 😂🥵

Haha they should! I literally use it all the time and I just realized how much I talk about it in my content 😂🤣 Some of the dark scenes I’ve brightened up the lighting, but it’s mainly my skin. It’s not perfect by all means you can tell when up close, but I can definitely share my skincare routine in another video for sure! 😉

I have never seen so many plants in a home! LOL how much.does it cost to have someone water all your plants? Also the shower with rainfall and. the regular shower head; I never knew that using both shower heads at once was a thing. Thankyou. Your content is greatly appreciated.
@Phamever
@Phamever 2 жыл бұрын
LOL priceless! jK I have to water the plants myself 😓 but luckily most of the year they only need to get watered once a week - some hotter weeks in Seattle I do it couple times a week! You have to try both the rainshower head and regular one at the same time - it feels amazing! Lol Thanks for watching and providing feedback! 😁🙏🏼
