You're in the right place. Just a quick correction for you: Your comment should be written like this: 'I want to improve my English.' You must begin a proper noun (English) with a capital letter, but do not begin other words within a sentence with a capital unless they are also proper nouns or are part of an abbreviated name.

Hi Anna, this is great and it applies to everyone, not just people learning English, but also native speakers such as me! All your tips are spot on, but number 4 and 5 especially apply to me. I write a lot in my job and I have learned the hard way to never trust spellcheckers, and about the importance of correctly placed punctuation. Another tip I can add, I have someone check what I write (proof read) if its vital I get it correct, or I draft it and then sleep on it - looking at it fresh the next day. I have also changed the defaults of my spellchecker to UK/Australian spelling - being Australian we use U.K. spelling and grammar rules and I got annoyed when MS-Word (we use Windows/MS-Office at work) always nailed me for non-US spelling and grammar. P.S. I like your new alter-ego; the dress is nice and sparkly too! Till next time.

We also have the ampersand (&), which replaces the word 'and,' but '&' is only used in informal writing.

Hi Anna, thank you for your insightful videos. The motives why I would like to improve my English are: a) improve my fluency skill when I converse with natives; b) improve my writing skills (I was told that although sentences are grammatically correct, they are not necessarily what a native would write); c) curious to dig down into this fascinating language, being myself an Anglophile; d) last but not least, I feel stuck with my English knowledge that I was told it is between intermediate and advanced. Hello Ana, i just found your chanel one week ago and i love it. I rather british accent and now i'm improving my listening skills with your videos. I would like the one to one english course for the whole month becouse i have punctual questions about grammar, i have never tried a online lessons so could be a nice experience, i'm really motivated to learn english listening, reading, writing. But never is enough. I'm learning english becouse i thought it was dificult and one day i need it when i was travelling abroad, i knew some that i had learnt in the movies and songs so i decide to start speaking, i was scared but the people told me that my english was good, since then (one year ago) im improving my english. I study English because I simply love it. There is not a rational reason, I just feel happy when I learn new words and expressions that I can use when talking to a native. Well, it goes without saying that everything you do, the hard work you put into making lessons is highly appreciated and admired. I must say, you are by far the best online teacher. I just LOVE watching your videos. They are so amazing, useful and most importantly, informative. So, for this,THANKS A LOT Now, I'd like to get straight to the point without wasting any time and tell you why I need Cambly subscription so much, perhaps more than anybody. I am a student with profound interest in English language and who is willing to devote her whole life to learning English. Hi Anna, first of all I really love ur videos especially ur livestreams. They helped me a myriads of times and your enthusiasm is so refreshing. I never thought about fun while learning English. Thank u. Now without further ado i need this lessons to improve my English even further. In half a year im going to get my a levels. Afterwards Im probably gonna travel for 6 months to Australia. If I’m being honest I’m quite insecure when it comes to talking to ohther people’s and the problem is I need to talk to get a job there. That is to say I need that exercise. Thank u again. I want one on one lesson because I think I know enough vocabulary, phrasal verbs and grammer but when it comes to talk I hesitate so I think that practicing my english with someone who won't laugh at me will be great and I can't afford them as I am still student 😅

Writing English the way it appears in books and newspapers is a level we need to get to. Punctuation: This is a key area of English. Poor punctuation impresses no-one. Question mark: Do you understand? Semi-colon: I work; John doesn't. Colon and serial commas: The punctuation marks are as follows: full-stops, serial commas, commas, exclamation marks, question marks, apostrophes, semi-colons, colons, m-dashes, inverted commas, speech quotation marks, and brackets. Comma to break up a sentence: Once this subject has been mastered, you can write with confidence. Speech quotation marks: The English teacher said, "Let' us now learn all about punctuation." Brackets (also called "parentheses"),: The N.S.P.C.A (National Society For The Prevention Of Cruelty To Animals) are currently recruiting in my area. Apostrophes (most commonly used in contractions): I'd like to teach the world to sing in perfect harmony. Inverted commas: We watched that 'fascinating' programme yesterday. Exclamation mark: He left with his tail inbetween his legs! M-dash: I get it - no I don't!
