you appear to be somewhat local to me. south of Boston, MA. i've been in the wholesale heating, a/c system design/sales and trouble shooting. from what i've seen from your videos you're thorough. you have tools that 8 out of 10 guys don't. you go through many extra steps that most won't do. you use the tools for what they are meant for. if the videos are only a small portion of how you operate you should be proud, you're better than most i've seen in the 30 years i've been doing this. keep it up.

Bro no BS i work for Citizens Bank (facilities) as Maintenance Tech 2. My background is mostly residential experience high rise etc. First time doing commercial work. Had no clue how to fix this as I got a service request stating it just flushes non stop or wont flush at all. Thanks to you I watched this at Home Depot and immediately bought 10 of these $24 for one. Pricey! Luckily I have an account with HD! Anyways thank you so much for this! Im sure it helped many others! Cheers from Revere Ma

I've only changed about a thousand of those diaphragms Steve...LOL. Had a plumber at the old hospital that used to break down the kits, and make us just change the parts needed :( But like you said, change the whole thing and don't have to come back for a while. I like the way you think brother! Great job.

Thank you for sharing your knowledge. I have a small urinal (the stand-up one). It's the Sloan brand, but I don't know the model or the GPM. Do you know which flushometer I need? I went to the local store, and there were 4-6 different models of Sloan! The problem that I have with this urinal is sometimes the water just runs very strong for 1-5 mins after flushing. Is this flushometer the one that causes the problem? Thank you

I'm maintenance for police/jail and constantly cleaning or replacing. After yearly back flow testing I'm guaranteed over time because just about all toilets and urinals will be loaded with rust and rock. Sometimes having to clean out 2 or 3 times.

My toilet does not have access to shut off the water. On another toilet I can see the area to put the screwdriver, but the one running just has a solid round metal piece where you would put the screwdriver. Does the metal piece come off?

When do you use 1.6 or 3.5 gpf diaphrams to repair toilets if it is not labeled on the toilet?
@sissymarylen15741a4 жыл бұрын
I run into this alot. I will put a 1.6 in and if it's a weak flush I will go up to the 3.5 and vice versa if it's too strong. 1.0 and under are for urinals

@robertarnold66725 жыл бұрын
I'm the same way when it comes to these Sloan flushometers. If I see anything questionable or anything that looks like its at the end of its service life, I will replace everything with new parts. Doing so will save me one less call or work ticket in the future.
