I thought I was the only one. It’s a nice reminder that they’re human. Like, I know they’re human, but like, I sometimes feel just a little weird around them and it makes me feel bad that other people probably feel the same way. Seeing them have fun makes me feel less guilty too. Don’t tell anyone I said that.

I was at a Dennys once and this older gent (yes white) told me, "When I was growing up it would have been a bad thing to date a woman like you. Now everyone is mixing with everyone and allowed to date whoever, it's BEAUTIFUL! If I didn't have a bad hip I'd show you a good time and I could make up for lost time". He had this funny little laugh that I still remember. I just said, "Yea that is too bad; enjoy your meal". I can't wait until I get that age.

I think Tom's dad and my dad were neighbors. My cousin and his family came out from back East for a visit and with them was a foreign exchange student. A fifteen year old German girl. My dad was in WWII and I see that he is trying to figure out something to say to this girl in a lull and I'm thinking, oh shit I know that look... and what he comes up with, I shit you not is... "That Hitler was a pretty bad guy." Because it was the only thing about being German he could come up with.

My mates grandad is czech ,I was over for a wedding he was a different level of saying what he wants, basically the bride was of gypsy decent witch in the rural areas can be an issue if you get my drift, so he starts telling a story about before 2nd World War of this fat gypsy bullying him as a kid and how horrible they where, he paused.... "but then hitler came an cleared it all up" this was in ear shot of the bride different breed saw World wars occupied by the USSR , after his wife nudged him he followed it up with "well there not a problem now,you have been fine " 😂
