I hope everyone was not affected too badly by the storm and fingers crossed that's the worst of the weather for 2020 winter

Congratulations Tom well done. Plenty of rain here on the east coast of Ireland but thankfully nothing like what you got over there we had a bit of snow yesterday and again this morning didn't stick thank GOD. Here's hoping the weather soon clears up. Take care and stay safe.

Im a new subscriber and a towny. Tom has taught me so many things about farming, like I would have never considered fields flooding or that cows could get pneumonia or even basic things like making sure to close gates after you open them. Learning about farm life like this is super interesting. Cheers, hope things dry up quickly :)

Great to see the silver play button with you 👍. We were near enough dry 2 weeks ago, yesterday the river rose to 3.60m+ from normal height. Luckily for were used to flooding (having ings fields next to the river) but it's still a pain in the bum for a few weeks 😣. Hope it all drains quick for you

Im so sorry to hear that you got Hit with so much rain. Where I live we have been raining so much that they have canceled schools and in alot of the farms here have flooded also. Congratulations for your KZfaq channel achievement. Thank you for this video

Here we live in Tornado Alley, and had a tornado in our back yard, literally, two years ago. Take care. Hope the water has created and will start receeding

All the rain/ flooding is so heart breaking, hate how swampy the ground is..... 😳😢 all those poor cattle! Hopefully it warms up and drys up quickly...

I am so glad i have train tracks basically in my yard i can direct the water onto. 2.7ha are annoying when half of it is kneehigh mud.

Tom we farm on the Lincolnshire fens I know its hard work but the best thing for flooding at high water is a spade to let water off the land when rivers are high.....good luck with your land I know we grow grain not milk or meat but same principle ....good luck and thanks for the insight on a totally different way of farming to us

Your farm looks just like the farms on the Oregon Coast. We have alot of standing water too. I feel sorry for the cows & horses standing in mucky wet conditions here! We've had very high tides on top of days of heavy rain. Lets all hope for less rain and drier times ahead. ☔🌊🌧Jeanne

I would love to have TP merch and Pemberton merch, but I am too late and I am short on money. I recently had to have 13 spine surgeries and now I will have number 14 on Wednesday. I can no longer walk, I am basically fully disabled. It has changed my life forever. My husband had to quit his job and of course, I had to too, so now we have no income coming in. We have to file bankruptcy. I am very optimistic, I believe once I have my last surgery I will be able to walk again. I have been a big fan of your channel. I raised cattle and goats and helped with dairy cattle while I was in high school and college. I understand the struggles and love you have for farming. I want to go to England next year and would love to come to your farm and meet you and your dad.

the storm was here in the netherlands too but luckily we had just a lot of wind and the worst part of the storm passed us.

We farm in Derbyshire,, we are quite lucky being on Limestone,, it does drain away fairly quickly,, there are a few pockets of standing water,,,

When it gets closer to spring growing season can you go to the lowest spot in the field and take some slurry hose and pump and shoot most of that water back in to the canal so it will dry up faster

Lucky enough we didn't have that much wind from the storm. Wish we had half the water you guys had. We still suffering from the droughts from '18 and '19. On top we are in a water collection area so it's very dry here. Ditches of more then 2 meters deep are still dry 🤦♂️

Wow 😳 what soggy mess , we’re wet here too because it’s been a warm wet winter an no frost in the ground here so no spreading manure either probably will have to add to the compost pie until it either freezes up or dries up

Same here in Holland.... Our pastures are about 1 meter higer than our surroundings but still it almoast looks the same as yours... My neibour has lived on the property next to us for 23 years. He had never seen water in the dich between our property's. And it is overvlowing so bad his pastures are allmoast fully submerged.... If the water was about 10 or 20 cm higer even my pastures will overflow bigtime. Give it about 30 cm more and moast of our homes and barns in this area wil be flooded..... The water is still there and has not come douwn allot so im weary about the next "storms".... If they bring as much water as this one did we're standing in about nee deep water.... Not looking forward to that 😅 Hope the waether gets better soon !

Congrats on your award from KZfaq rough weather you’ve had rough here also 4 inches of rain has flooded us also normal for it to be snow 20inches our clay soil will drain quick but all our creeks will be flooded for a week have a better week to come
