well thats called biased canes fan. Smart canes fan would know both of these moves are great. Ned melted in the playoffs, lost 2 games alone, hamilton is one of the worst defenders at defending in the NHL and very overrated offensively.

Reminds me a bit of Hasek. Not as unorthodox maybe, but incredible flexibility, insanely fast side to side, and a great glove.

Hasek made some of the most acrobatic saves no other goalie could have made. Hated seeing him in net against the wings as a Sabre but when he went to Detroit as netminder just made the team invincible and then along came Ozzy and now Nedeljkovic. Bout to be a good run in Hockey Town again!

Wings starting to rebuild an all star team with some of the best rookies and Nedeljkovic as goalie. As long as everyone stays healthy next couple years gonna be huge for the Redwings. Bout time!

I was thinking the same thing. Dont get me wrong, its an upgrade because of skill and age. However, hes still not vezina trophy worthy as of today. But to get him for essentially a 3rd, as Bernier was leaving anyway, stunning!!!

@@Royknwsall1986 exactly. And if you had to choose a team for a raw talent to develop, I think Grand Rapids is as good as any. Haven’t heard many people talk about it - but this dude is a gamer who battled his way out of NA3 all the way to the show. That work ethic in an AHL or NHL locker room is hard to come by these days as the top athletes are largely just talented with little developmental capacity.

@@M164eVeRy1 Yeah, but he's not going to GR. He's penciled in as the Wings opening night starter. It's up to Greiss to take that spot in camp. I'm a fan of drafting a goalie by the way... just thought it should have been Wallstedt. Yzerman must have loved the athleticism by Cossa. That's the only thing I can think of.

Nedeljkovic has to be the happiest person alive right now!!! To go from an organization like Carolina to an actual NHL organization in a market that ACTUALLY cares about him and will know who he is.. incredible! Thank you so much, Carolina! Never change! (Until you relocate, that is 😉)

Everyone's sleeping on the fact that Bernier was absolutely amazing in net the last two seasons for the Wings. Our best player, without question. It's not like the Canes got nothing in return. All that behind the worst blueline in the league as well. He may as well light it up in Raleigh. Alex has only played one year lol he could very well flop. At least we just drafted Cossa 🤞

Lol wake up dude and do your homework next time you make a comment!.. like you is why the Red Wings are slept on because people think the wings are way worse than what actual stats actually have them as 😄the Red Wings didnt have the worst blue line in the NHL😄🤦.. it was actually the Philadelphia Flyers!.. Yes YES the FLYERS!.. the wings were actually near league average in the league ranking 20th in Defense! And you just know they're going to actually be even BETTER all-around the board for just a simple fact alone that they have been trending upward tremendously since Steve Yzerman's arrival.. season-by-season!.. those my friend ya call FACTS!🤙

Hurricanes Owner Tom Dundon has General Manager Don Waddell doing a "budget team", not signing Ned at his reasonable price, a potential long term solid goalie? And for a third round pick? Insane! And Waddell, I call BS, no way coach was on board with this insane giveaway! And the draft - all Waddell did was trade down, trade down! Yep, going for a cheap budget team for the future. Cheap Tom Dundon is only paying Rod half his value, that's a joke as well.

Carolina can have him back now... he has been a total underperformer for us in Detroit. Billy Husso is our starter. He has earned it. Ned is our backup, but lacks the confidence to be reliable.
