One of the funniest comedies of the past decade or so... Like A list actors, really funny script. Just good. Jason Batemon, Jason Sudeikes, Charlie Day, Jennifer Aniston, and Kevin Spacey I can't really think of a better case for a comedy movie.

I went to see the film after smoking a little weed with my guy friend. I doubt I was high, but we're the main ones laughing especially at the beginning when that one guy runs in place, punches another dude and jumps out the window. It still wasn't better than the 1st though.

Animated sequals should've been a list all on their own. That being said... ANY of the honorable mentions should've been on the list instead of "Wayne's World 2". That was the worst!!! And what about "Airplane II"? "Ted 2"? "Scary Movie 2"? "Rush Hour 2"? "Next Friday"? Or, even, "Shanghai Knights"????? Come on!!

nah come on, he's doing it right lol rush hour 2 definitely deserves rank, scary movie 2 is a classic i forgot about (best spoof movie also IMO) and Next Friday is a sequel that is different from the original with new cast and still plenty of people I know will watch that over the sequel

dlrico I agree that animated sequels shouldn't be here because plainly there are a lot of good sequels in that category. To put together a list of my own I'd have to take my time but I I just don't think a lot of the movies you listed are actually deserving.Ted 2 isn't the funniest and isn't remembered too well and your top 3 just aren't the best in general. Home Alone 2 is not very good, rush hour 2 is...good but in its own way and beverly hills cop 2 is not good enough for #3. To leave out wanes world is a crime though!

Good god @watchmojo.com this list was atrocious. Half of these are nowhere as good or up to par with the original. I kept waiting for American Pie 2, Scary Movie 2 you know actual good comedy sequels and instead I see this shitlist. Rush Hour 2, Next Friday! Like really none of these made the list not even an honorable mention. Terrible list! Terrible! One of your worst and you've made some pretty bad ones but this one was worse than bad. You got this one wrong by a long shot. Redo fast!!!

I read about Jim Carrey hating the sequel due to its depictions of native people. Also the "bats fear" of his character made him thought it was cheap.

Even though this video came out in 2016, Zombieland: Double Tap, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2, and Lego movie 2 would make this list. Also, National Lampoon: Christmas Vacation, Back to the Future Part 2 and Lethal Weapon 2 should have been on this list.

also: Pitch Perfect 2 Legally Blonde 2 Rush Hour 2 & 3 and I have no doubt this list could be redone in a year or 2 with Deadpool 2 near or even at the top....considering how awesome & hilarious the first one was, the sequel is destined to be equally epic

I would slightly disagree when you mentioned the most emotional part was Jessie's abandonment in TS2, in fact Andy saying bye to his toys/the toy gang almost got incinerated those two tied as the most emotional scenes in any animation movie.

I did not like Anchorman 2 when I first saw it but I'll admit when Im wrong. They definitely made a great sequel to a movie that is such a classic.

I never considered the Toy Story series to be a comedy series; it may have had some comedic moments here and there, but I don't think that necessarily means that they are comedies. Shrek 2 would have been a much better animated film to put on this list, considering that it is a full-fledged comedy that arguably surpasses the original.

3:45 Actually one sequel (or prequel) to a Jim Carrey movie that didn't have Carrey in it that I actually thought was OK was "Dumb And Dumberer: When Harry Met Lloyd"
