It's not so much the words we use, it's more about the intent. For example, in highschool I played football, and on the way home from practice one day Im driving and have three teammates with me, one of them was black. I can't remember if I was singing along to a song or whatever, but I accidentally said it then immediately looked like I had seen a ghost! My friend Brandon who was black, I had never seen him laugh so hard as I apologized over and over. He was busting up! Because he knew that he was my teammate and friend and we were brothers, there wasn't a sliver of malice or hate intended by it. So just because somebody uses racist words either accidentally or on purpose, focus instead on their intent. You'll find that some people are extremely racist without them using a single slur. It's the INTENT, not so much the words themselves.
