Vegeta has went from evil, to edgelord, to Anti hero, to protector of Earth. Shadow was a fun Anti hero who would say jokes to mock his enemies in Adventure 2 and Heroes. They made him an edgelord in Shadow's game in the 4 kids voice actors. He get a mix of both a cool anti hero and Edgey with his new voice.

InfiniteHands It’s rather pathetic to claim someone about something only not to back it up when someone asks you to. Keep your edgy try hard opinions to yourself if you’re going to chicken out in the end, which only wastes everyone’s time.

I always figured Dante (at least OG Dante) never quite fit 'Edgelord'. Like he definitely ticks a lot of the boxes, but at the end of the day, he's clearly having way too much FUN with his life to really qualify. :)

People seem to have forgotten. Being edgy doesn’t mean a bad character. Often they appear at the same time but if one of those things is here it doesn’t mean the other one is. This has to be repeated because of half of these characters are amazing

Sometimes it can be good, like with Nico Di Angelo from Percy Jackson, where their edge isn’t shoved down your throat constantly, but sometimes it can hurt the story as well like with Shadow

The true mark of an edgelord is to inundate oneself in emo, angst, and darkness -- in an optimistic setting where such traits only reduce his ability to contribute anything meaningful to the plot. The edgelord sits at the window seat of the classroom, somehow shrouding his face in shadow while sitting in direct sunlight, brooding about how life sucks and then you die...while the rest of the class laughs at how wrong he is and runs off to do something more fun together, like turn into robot superheroes and beat up a giant monster.

Actually to those thinking Shadow was cocking that gun the wrong way, turns out the gun Shadow was holding in the opening sequence is an actual rifle that is a pump action rifle. So it wasn't a Machine gun like we thought he was holding but rather it was a type of rifle that fires a single round after pumping it. But don't get me wrong, I still find the game Shadow The Hedgehog to be ridiculous.

Well I for one actually found enjoyment in Shadow’s own game. The so called “Dark Age Of Sonic” of 2005-2009 deserves a hell of a lot more credit for being full of moments I’ll never forget and reasons why I love the series. While anything we’ve gotten since 2010 can kiss my ass.

It should be noted that Blazblue is super tongue in cheek and Ragna is kind of a parody of typical anime edgelords. He spends most of his time trying to convince everyone what a badass tough guy he is, but he's generally kind of goofy and lame in the game's story, making him far more likeable than a typical edgelord.

Hence why I feel like they would only use BlazBlue to mock it...I just want them to just respect the series and actually research on it maybe they might realise how deep the series is. Ragna may seem edgy, rude and create a massive angstorm in Calamity Trigger (First game) but later near the end of the second game Continuum Shift he changed and became nicer and after the third game (Chronophantasma) and during fourth game (Central Fiction) he became pretty much a hero but still distant and moody but a gentle hero who wants to save people.

The funny thing is, Ragna did sort of give himself the nickname Bloodedge. Cause, you know, time travel. But on the other hand it was the NOL that gave him the moniker "Grim Reaper". Although "Angry Reaper" might have been more appropriate.

When I first saw this video in 2018, I didn't even realized that Ragna was an Edgelord even after 7 years of getting into BlazBlue but now almost 2 years later, I had learned my lesson about Ragna's edgelord status and believe me, I had dug that hole way too deep before the term of edgelords decided to slap me in the face.

I wouldn't call Vegeta an edgelord. I can understand why people might think he is, but he's more power hungry and aggressively frustrated with trying to live up to his potential than being an emo edgey boi who hates the world. Even when he first showed up in the series, I still wouldn't call him edgey. He was violent and ruthless, sure, but his personality, while seemingly similar to Shadow's and Sasuke's at times, seems to be a bit less whiney, depressing and emo than them. Vegeta's angst comes more from frustration.

@@kaihedgie1747 That scene is actually non-canon filler tho :V even though I do prefer that explaination over what Toriyama wrote about how Vegeta became Super Saiyan...which was nothing. So it's not saying much. But the truth is, Toriyama just wrote Vegeta to come out of no where with a new transformation like he just hit an RKO

@UCogMLsHXTLv4Ha0GKRhqb-g The scene is in Dragon Ball Kai though and unlike, say, the Aralia and Fake Namek arcs, it doesn't conflict with anything already established in the manga. It just expands on what we already know and fills in the blanks that Toriyama himself was too lazy to fill in.

@@kaihedgie1747 Yeah, if you look at it that way, I guess it could work. I just personally try to avoid using filler scenes when making a point unless I'm joking around. But that filler scene is one I don't mind, not because it's good, but because it's at least something. I guess some of the filler in DBZ is useful to compensate for Toriyama's laziness.

No mention of the Prince in Warrior Within? It's supposed to be the same one from Sands of Time, but besides the shift in VA's (going from Yuri Lowenthal to Robin Atkin Downes, ironically Yuri has a history of being Edgelord anime characters), you could not tell.

Vincent should've taken Sephiroth's spot. He uses guns, transforms into monsters, broods non-stop, joins the party only to kill Hojo, has a horrible backstory and even sleeps in a coffin. Not only that, but he even got himself his own spin off third person shooter, Dirge of Cerberus, where he struggles to NOT become the devil and destroy the world.

Kirby's games are really dark if you look past the cutesy exterior. In every game you're going around devouring everyone and everything, and most of the final bosses are really powerful demons or gods.

@@PeterXChhanX must've missed that announcement. the top tens were a bonus for me as far as screw attack went but i personally wont be subbing to a new channel with people i dont like. i understand their videos will be still with them, but i don't really care for the other channel. i feel like they'll just lose out on views and fans. they'll definitely get support thou, and i wish em luck, but the notifications would be a majority on videos we don't care for, for an upside of a video a week/2

I'm sorry Screwattack, but I prefer this channel over the Know for the fact that this channel has a consistent uploading pattern. Mondays lead up with a nice podcast, I can watch Death Battle (which is doing great btw) every Wednesday, I can watch fun top 10's on Thursday, and the weekends with DBX/Desk/Bloopers. With Screwattack, I know what I'm getting every week and it'll be the things I am interested in. The know uploads looks like another gaming news channel with a wonky schedule that'll just clutter my subscriptions. I'm sorry to both The Know and Screwattack, but this is a pass from me.
