I still play Overwatch but honestly i understand about the hate of the game. The story mode and the skill tree thingy that they cancelled was literally a bad move blizzard made. That one was just one very good example why the game was hated.

The worst thing to happen to sports games was when the NFL gave EA exclusive rights back in 2005.

I still to this day can't wrap my head around how badly Blizzard mismanaged Overwatch. It could have easily gone down in history as one of the best franchises ever, but Blizzard made every wrong move possible.

And the first 2 Postal games (for what they were) were actually pretty good, with Postal 2 being considered the best in the series. 7. Diablo 3 got better with updates. EVERY YEAR we hear about how bad these games and their latest entries reportedly are, and people still buy them EVERY TIME! This is far from a new thing too. These companies got it right MORE THAN A DECADE AGO! So to see people still falling for this YEARS LATER just boggles the mind. But here's my question to all the naysayers. If you don't like them, why do you keep buying or playing them? Why do you keep giving them and their publishers attention? How do you even KNOW how bad they really are? Hasn't it ever occurred to you that maybe not buying these games and not giving them attention is the BEST DECISION YOU CAN MAKE? The worst attention you can give literally ANYONE or ANYTHING is NO ATTENTION! If people don't buy or play the games, they don't make money, and therefore, don't make more entries in their franchises. It's really that simple.

Legit, postal 4 is a much better effort than postal 3, as faulty as it is, with running with scissors showing they still care about the franchise and fans, and let’s not forget postal brain damaged which is probably the best game in the series since postal 2.

If gamers spent less time crying about games being garbage and more time actually doing something like not buying the same copy-paste franchise every year, maybe things would change. Every purchase of the same old Call of Duty or Madden game only proves to the companies that they can keep getting away with it.

As someone who loved overwatch, I 100% agree. It used to be such a great game. Then they decided to get rid of all the good ideas they had, and replaced them with horrible ideas. I can actually say this was the one game that did loot boxes right, and I never even bought one. I always just earned them, and I loved the feeling I got everytome I got to open another one. I've honestly tried loading it back up, and giving it another chance at least 3 times since they changed it. Its just too bad though, and they try to justify it by calling it "Overwatch 2" now. I'm sorry to tell them that it's literally just a glorified update because go ahead and put in your Overwatch 1 disc, and see what happens. I feel bad for anyone that actually went out, and bought it especially if they already had the 1st one because you can play "Overwatch 2" using the Overwatch disc because it is not a new game like they said. It is literally an update that ruined everything good thay the game used to have.

I'm surprised that Pokemon didn't get a dishounourable mention. The last 5 generations have had more and more hate on release. Yes, once people actually played them and after patches, they became beloved, but this hate-love cycle needs to stop.

I mean, most hated by quantity of complaints maybe, but with one or two exceptions, most of these are generally well liked.

Thank you for the update, WatchMojo..!! I was able to purchase BF2042 on Xbox One for $15, after waiting for more than two years. I heard they fixed it well but there was no campaign, no scoreboard, and the game still contained bugs.

The reason why FNAF is a franchise is because of the story. Like the first game was just the beginning of the story, as future games wanted to reveal more of the overall story.

Battlefield 1943 was the best and most balanced game in the series. We all started with the same weapons and there wasn't any dlc or microtransactions.

First movies began making bad sequels, and now video games. What is wrong with these companies? The Five Nights at Freddy's movie was ok, no blood and guts, but lots of jump scares, which I for one prefer more of in horror movies.

Overwatch... Once hailed for being better at representation, kicked of the hero shooter trend, lauded for the interesting world and narrative opportunities, advertised as an actual team game where asymmetrical balance and coordination meant you didn't need 'leet shooter skillz, where a lone where being good at COD would lose the objective, the casuals shooter..... Now it's just lying in the hospital barely existing.

I think Bayonetta should be a dishonorable mention because while the first 2 games are Amazing I have seen enough hate on Bayonetta 3 and surprisingly few opinions on it's spin-off that it's surprising that the series hasn't suffered the same fate as it's protagonist.

I'm not surprised that no nintendo franchises are on this list. I think the only franchise that everyone hates is ice climbers. It was no fun and largely forgotten until Melee was released. I had no idea there were games people hated. All the reasons why are understandable. I watched some people play FNAF games in videos and on streams. I've played a Call of Duty and Madden NFL game and liked them. I've also played Grand Theft Auto games and liked them, too. I watched someone play "Bubsy 3D" and talk about how bad the game was.

I am not seeing COD. Ever since Infinite warfare, franchise is in shambles. They have one of the most creative studios, Raven in their hands but they don’t give them full autonomy so games are shit.
