Yes! Listening to lectures is so helpful! I’m so happy you mentioned it. Using the recorder on your phone to tape lectures and listen on “down time” is also a great option. Especially to refresh on the drive to next lecture 👍🏼

I just turned 18 n I just started Nursing school.. sometimes I feel hopeless...yes they expect soooooooooooooo much..... but thank you soooooooooooooo much because I was having difficulties studying... I use a lot of youtube to get through nursing school. I'm a visual and auditory learner, so I can just read the textbook and expected to understand everything easily. I just haha got all the way down on your channel, and this video is so good tbh! I'm a nursing student in India (1st year) and I really want to start a YT channel based on nursing, day in the life, my experience, etc, to inspire others. But I'm super scared and nervous because I can't really find any nursing students from India who make videos. It's just hard for me! And I just put up this rant here...... Ok..... I am in the thick of it (nursing school) and it is very intense if you are not use to learning on a college level where exams are each week. I have such a love hate relationship with nursing school lol I love what I’m learning but when exams come I get anxiety no matter how much I have studied lol thanks for the tips

Oh my goodness, I can't explain how happy I am that I've found this! I'm in the second semester of nursing school and I can't for the life of me figure out how to apply myself for NCLEX questions. I know the material, but I go in and fail every test. I've never been able to figure out what type of learner I am, but I think your comment about having to write down the notes, made me realize I'm tactile learner. I have to used index cards to remember information for my test, but that may have to do with me not being able to apply it later on. I hope to gain some more tips from you!

Im in an accelerated nursing program and I can vouch that although hard, giving birth is 10 times worse. lol That and going to Iraq...also losing my mother and grandmother during finals.... soooo definitely doable.

I’m sorry that happened to you. I was thinking the same. I have given birth twice, had a special needs child with many surgeries and loosing my mom, I think I can handle nursing school. Even though it’s a different stressor, I have managed worse. I keep psyching myself out but have to remind myself too that I have been working in urgent care for 15 years as a MA. That will help also.

In the last few months I have decided that I would like to go through nursing school. Well, somethings really scare me then other things are like, no, I think I've got this. I am watching these & hoping I can see what I need or do not as far as study. Like everyone else or so many, memory scares me! I am older, have memory issues from a toxic thyroid but I am determined to make a path for my 10yr old. Any info helps! Thanks for sharing!

Bobbie, you can do it. I believe in you. Nursing is hard, but it's definitely not impossible. I have a lot of classmates that are mothers, one is even a grandmother of 5 grandchildren. She's in her early 50s. I actually just made a video on how to study in nursing school and past exams with easy. These exams are no joke. I failed peds because of the exams. And I studied and knew the material. I am hoping to make a come back with OB and my exam in this Thursday. Prayers pls I don't want to fail this semester. I don't like second semester due to how condensed it is and how much material is shoved down your throat. 7 weeks each is just not enough time. Ugh god help me.

I feel you, Jen. I took OB two semesters ago, and now I'm about to take peds. I had the same problem as you did. Don't you feel like there's just not enough time in the day to get through all the material they want you to study? I actually just posted a video on the number one trick that helped me be more productive. Now I have time to go out and do extra things like starting this youtube channel, spend more time my family, and go out with friends more lol. Check it out Jen I think it'll help you a lot. El Americano They're helpful since each question is weighed heavily in points. Grading scale in nursing exams are different than your average test. 40/50 can get you a C barely passed. The stress is real lol
