Can't believe you listed quarantine instead of rec the Spanish original. Both are excellent but rec was just a bit creepier and brings you in to the story a bit more.

Night Of The Comet is insanely great, and I remember watching it on VHS- it was just fascinating to see that concept utilized in such a way; the FX were interesting too.. sort of had that Werewolf In London vibe with certain parts. I suggest ppl watch House 1 & 2.. those are cult classics, imo.

I liked Rec and Quarantine. I also enjoyed the difference in the cause of the zombies. Rec was more occult / paranormal, while Quarantine was biological

I would add The Living Dead At The Manchester Morgue to this list, it's a creepy hidden gem of a zombie movie, as long as you can get past the insufferable male protgonist. As a character, he's a complete tool. Plus all the Blind Dead films are fun times.

I think of 'Overlord' as a great video game adaptation that happens to not have an actual game. Same with 'Nekrotronic'

Night of the Comet and Night of the Creeps were great 80's zombies movies I loved from childhood. I'm glad you guys highlighted Creeps and not it's remake Slither. (Slither's also a great film, but seemed to focus a bit less on the zombie aspect and went more into creature feature.) I also agree with some other comments below that Rec is superior to Quarantine and while it's sequels are not quite as good, they add some new twists to the genre I like. And Dead Alive?....the GOAT.

I have seen almost all this cool horror movies,exept : Dead alive/braindead.I wish the "Night of the comet" would be made in a sequel as serie.Of course happening in the 80's."Night of the creeps" really grossed me and creep me out,more they many gore and bloody modern ones.The 80's had many,many types of great movies,which hard to find this days.

I just watched “dead snow” and then I immediately watched “dead snow 2” all I can say is I wish I watched it sooner. It had subtitles in the first one. I love your lists. I don’t get sick of zombie movies. I only get sick of bad ones.

I recommend The Dead next door and Flesh Eater. Great low budget zombie flicks. Tombs of the blind dead is another hidden gem.

You only had time for 8 movies (and NOT even that as "I Sell the Dead" was abruptly CUT OFF ("This is all the time we had for this episode....")), but another nice, although bit 'campy', Zombie title is "Children Shouldn't Play With Dead Things" (1972).

"The Girl With All The Gifts" made Yesterday's List!

Dead Alive is the only movie that made me gag and had me laughing so hard I literally fell out of my seat at the cinema, but if you want something truly unique then Wasted Away (2007) is made from the zombie's perspective. It's actually clever and funny, and if you can find it, I, Zombie, an ultra low budget British horror, which follows our hero as he slowly turns, is a real treat if only for a single scene where he's trying to enjoy a little alone time in his room which does not end well.. Oh the pathos! God damn but I love zombie movies!

Overlord is a fantastic flick, critics can't appreciate anything that isn't a cookie cutter production. The practical effects are beautiful, that scene where the soldier finds a human head with its spine still attached and conscious enough to ask for help (or whatever it/she says as I can't remember), is creepy as fuck, if not straight fuckin scary, and there are quite a few really well done props. In my well informed opinion Overlord is one of the best zombie flicks of this and previous decades.

I'm shocked Warm Bodies should be on this list too.

Still think The Beyond is underrated. Hardly ever gets talked about when it comes to zombie films.

A Little Bit Zombie should be on the list too. Great movie.

Night of the comet (1984) cemetery man (1994) Rampant (2018) Kingdom (2019) both Rampant and Kingdom are about Korean zombie in the olden dynastic period. rampant is a movie and kingdom is a tv show made by netflix these two are on top of my list that no one has even mentioned. although the two are very similar but totally different in story and definitely different from western style zombies. check then out you wont be disappointed. also check out the Rape zombie series from Japan. totally hillarious and will make you laugh your ass off. two from Taiwan worth a watch are Zombie Fight club (2014) and Zombies 108 aka Call of the Undead (2012)

Ultimate Retro Zombie Movie List And The Best Watch Order For "Main 'Romero' Timeline/Lore Films": These movies; some released in Italy as loose sequels and or prequels due to Italys weak copyright laws, play off of Romero's movies and create an even bigger and more chaotic scope of the zombie plague. There's 8 main movies of interest (Romero's 4 Films, plus the 3 most important ones from Italy and some others.) then some others that cant really be forced into a timeline and are more or less stand alone outbreaks.
