I saw this movie at the cinema and it was pure emotion, truly cinematic gold. I'm quite convinced that it's destined to become a legend. Finally, when I get old I will be able to tell my children "this film in my golden age was epic"

Tom cruise is authentic, he clearly loves what he is doing and he respects the audience. He is a true entertainer who goes way way waaaaay beyond where his peers go, all for the purpose of realism and entertainment. When he retires, he is going to leave a huge void in cinema. He respects my hard earned cash and he truly wants to authentically entertain me, so for that alone he gets my money every single time. Never expected to become a fan of Tom Cruise, but my hat is off to him. He is a legend.

@Spew Sideways Plus ALL actors deserve to be paid for their talent anyway! A lot of people think acting is easy but in my 35 years of doing so, I can tell you that it can be totally draining, both physically & mentally, doing up to 16 hours per day, then in movies like this; getting up in the wee hours of the morning, driving to set, spending hours in hair & makeup, then doing it over and over non stop for months on end!👍

I smiled, laughed, cried and cheered. An astounding action cinema with insane practical stunts like no other. This is a must watch movie on Imax. We are lucky to have a legend like Tom Cruise who gets to immerse the audience like no other.

It was June or July 1986, I was 16. We went on our Summer trip down to Florida with our explorer group. It was pouring rain one day( we stayed in tents) and we loaded up to go catch a movie. Movies didn't have quite the same buzz back then, so most of us hadn't really heard much about Top Gun. We just knew we were getting out of the rain for awhile. I remember vividly how awesome the feeling was coming out of that theater. That was the first big Blockbuster action movie and it hit just the right electric groove for us back then. When we left and that bright afternoon Florida sun hit us, the rain was over and the sky was the limit for the rest of that day. I'm hoping the sequel can kindle some of that magic.

I was a teenager 36 years ago had 2 posters of Tom in my room the one iconic leather jacket poster with the bike and other a black n white poster with a yellow printed shirt ...and here I am watching the too gun again after 36 years pure cinematic experience hats off for the entire team Great movie love from India

Brings back some memories. I worked on F/A 18’s at NAS Lemoore from 1989-93. Mostly hydraulics. Even did some training at Fightertown USA when it was at NAS Miramar in San Diego. Man, those were the days.

This movie was awesome. I always had a fascination with jets growing up and saw the first Top Gun when I was 16. At 18 after high school, I joined the Navy to work on and be around jets which I did as an Avionics Tech for 6 years on the FA 18. Now I'm 52 with me and the wife just got done going to the movies and seeing the newer version. It was awesome and nostalgic to say the least.

Thank you to Paramount, Tom Cruise, all the cast members, production crew and management from Seoul, Korea. I am waiting for the release as I did some 36 years ago in Memphis for the original Top Gun. Hope the sound track is nearly as good as the original, because the music was so great. I still have the original sound track cd in my car and enjoy playing and reliving and recalling my youth. Thanks for casting Jennifer Connelly, Tom, producers Simpson and Bruckheimer and director Kosinski! You are all cinematic Gods!

I must say i'm 16, turning 17 in September, so i'm from the younger generation. I've known about Top Gun since forever, been singing the songs since I was like 11 I think, but only watched the first one like a few months ago for the first time (yesss shame on me! haha)... I absolutely loved it! Then my dad and I went to see the second one last week and I fell even more for it! Such an amazing movie♡ my friends mostly laughed at me when i told them about it (a few didn't know top gun at all & a few found it weird for me, a girl, to like it) and i got a few weird looks at the cinema, maybe because i was the youngest in the whole cinema hall, i don't know really:-D both points made me quite insecure about it if i'm being honest, but it's not gonna stop me from going to see top gun maverick again:-)

My uncle and I used to watch Top Gun on VHS players over and over. He used to say to me to get a career as a fighter pilot. I should have taken his advice before he passed away.

Fortunately the F35 is waaay to expensive and problematic to be featured in a film. That afterburner acceleration scene would have been imposible without risking to lose the damn thing 😂 F18 is near to retirement and there are a lot of units available.

i am stoked for this!!! PLEASE DONT LET US DOWN!!! think its innovative, getting the actors involved in the flying. SImilar to Stallone turning a boxer into an actor in Rocky Balboa. Tom hits it, there are certain things even an actor cannot convey correctly without actually doing it!

@@SteveMack negative Ghost Rider. Have you watched any of these interviews and trailers? They put the actors up in the Jets, Tom put his own money to cover the insurance for if they crashed these damn things. These actors are actually flying the fighters. For some of the scenes, probably not the actual dog fighting but they definitely we're actually pulling Maneuvers to experience the g-forces depicted in the movie
