Try La Condesa Eatery on Wells in Reno.They have a huge variety from Salads, Steaks, to Taco as well as Burgers.

Best Steakhouse is at Western Village. By far. They still do tableside caesar salads, and their steak entrees come with a starch and vegetable. I'm not a fan of the ala carte menu steakhouses have gone with. But, that's just my opinion and I'm sure many people will disagree with me.

Los Compadres for margarita's and Mexican food. Roberto's Tacos for breakfast burritos. Best breakfast burritos I've ever had in the US.

The Atlantis Steakhouse is my favorite restaurant the Steak Diane is my favorite they cooked my order in front of us nice experience ❤

Nice. Having lived here for 18 months, we haven't discovered all restaurants in the area. This gives us a list of new places to try. We have a few local favorites here in Sparks. Water Bar on the Marina. Old school Italian place on Victoria Square. Hole in wall Thai place on Vista. For a steak dinner, we rediscovered the good old Outback Steakhouse. Good steak dinner for a 1/3 of what you pay at a casino steakhouse.

Let me know which places you try and what you think about them. I haven't been to the Water Bar on the Marina yet, however, I heard that they serve the famous pican punch there. Also, if you want to try a different affordable steakhouse, I heard Biggest Little Steakhouse in Midtown has very reasonable prices- $34 for filet mignon, $36 for ribeye, and $28 for New York.

@Amy Burgos The Water Bar good. Good bar. Good food. Good service. Usual menu. Steak, seafood, pasta, pork chops and the usual sides. Bit on the pricey side but not too bad. Upstairs is best for a window seat overlooking the Marina. There's the Wild River Grille on S. Virginia by the river next to the district court where you can park in the evening. American cuisine with great good, atmosphere and service. For comfort food, there's Pinocchio's. Great family owned restaurant. There's one here in Sparks and one in south Reno somewhere. I'll have to try the sushi place you mentioned. We haven't found a good sushi place here.

But on a side note come up to stead and eat at fiesta Mexican the chips and red salsa is fire. And I get the molcajete. Also a burrito of Al pastor. Bang for ur buck Forshure and filling gotta love it. Keep it on the low 🤫

Everyone I know enjoys this restaurant, I, on the other hand, have never gotten a decent meal, So like most places, it is hit and miss.

When saying where something is located, saying off of, means not on. So it is better to say, such as beefy's, it is On Virginia st.

For Mexican we like Bertha Miranda's on Mill Street just east of the Auto Museum. Bangkok Thai on Mount Rose (street, not highway) right off of Virginia. I haven't eaten many of the bar food items on the menu at Susshboom Brewery way south on Virginia because I keep getting the Thai chicken wings- they;re huge and juicy, not your typical little dried out things, and smothered in the most addictive sauce. Their beers are pretty good too. Where do you recommend for Indian food, Amy? There's a couple of places in midtown I've been meaning to check out...

Bertha Miranda’s is good! I haven’t been there in a while. We will have to try their Thai wings next time we’re at Schushboom. I like bawarchi, which is in south Reno. I liked Indian kabab and curry, but I haven’t been there in years. That is located on South Virginia.

Tokio sushi has gotten better in health inspection. Pho 777 is far better than pho999.

Whats the age range like there? I’m looking to move out west and reno is on the list. I’ll be in my early 30s by the time I get out there and don’t wanna be the odd duck out 😂

Hi Roy, the main cities are Las Vegas and Reno. If you are looking for casinos, nightlife, and really good food, then Las Vegas might be for you. If you are looking for outdoor activities, 4 seasons and overall better weather, then Reno could be for you.

@amyburgos4491 Agreed, I think reno is perfect for retirees and vegas the younger crowd. Reno is basically a tiny vegas. More peaceful for sure

I think it depends on what your monthly income will be and could make a difference as to where to live.

I want to visit Reno and knowing where good restaurants are is important. Not a sushi eater. Toucan Charlies, that used to be the name of the coffee shop at the Stardust Hotel in Las Vegas. I plan on staying at the Eldorado. My late wife and I stayed here. Will probably stick to places near the Eldorado.

Sorry but how could you forget the Washoe public house. If you have been in Reno any amount of time it is by far one of the best establishments in Reno. 🤌🏻😅
